Um.. If you are listing the above situations and you go run a tool to reset the password, you should really make sure your resume is up to date as that is a huge fireable offense (in some situations possibly criminal). If you don't normally have access there is a reason for it.
There used to be a strip bar in Kanata, Ontario called Jason's. The local Tech rag Silicon Valley North did "lunch review" to find out how good their lunches were. The interesting thing they found out? Blue collar patrons tipped a lot better than white collar.
No it is the same on this side of the pond as well. But it seems some morans (especially the guy sitting behind me on my third to last flight) thinks that doesn't apply the literal moment the wheels touch ground.
Also with regards to 93, I thought they were using the phones embedded in the seat ahead that usually cost $10 a minute.
I believe you can check off Updates to not ask you to install WGA (until MS decides to change it) as I recall doing that a while back.
Additionally, you can have your swap file on any partition and it doesn't have to be on your System partition with XP. You just have to set it to No Paging file for the C: drive (assuming XP is on C:)
can't imagine I'd have use for them in carry on. What do you need really in the cabin that is liquid? I'm good with my computer, books and some dvd's to watch. You obviously have never lost your luggage on a trip. It is (was) nice to carry your toiletries in your carry-on so that way you could at least freshen up if on a business trip without having to go and buy everything again.
That used to be ditto for me. However all laptops now have a software firewall installed and the workstation is locked down so that you can't browse the web through the normal interface. The only reason you would connect to an untrusted Network would be to VPN into the WAN.
Good question. I would doubt the cable is permanently attached otherwise that would become a real pain if the cable broke as you would need to replace the stereo. I would suspect that it would be either of the following: 1. An extra port on the back of the radio that the cable plugs into 2. choice between XM, CD changer or MP3 player (similar to IPOD2CAR does right now) 3. some kind of data bus interface ala SCSI
Note: I don't work for the company but am really happy with it! I bought the IPOD2CAR from Peripheral http://www.peripheralelectronics.com/web/ipod2car. asp for my 2003 Jeep Liberty. Looking at the list of compatible cars there are very few missing especially domestically. They also have an AUX2CAR which uses RCA plugs (i.e if you want to hook up something else through a different connecter (i.e RCA, Headphone, anything with direct line out). But to answer your question of what happens if Apple changes their interface? Since the product is essentially 3 components (cable from CD adapter, little magic box, cable to ipod) I would probably have two choices: 1. I would assume that Peripheral would probably come out with a cable that adapts 2. Rip apart their cable and rewire it. Right now the Ipod is only using an analog line out, if it ended up being a digital signal, you would probably lose the ability to charge or control (or maybe not if you were imaginative enough).
Even better is put a really big pointy spike in the steering wheel. You will find people will tend not to tailgate or do anything where they may have to brake really quickly. And if they do then they will only do it once.
That plus the fact that the last time I flew and the guy in front of me put his chair back my nuckles in home position were touching the screen. Fat lot of good.
An el-cheapo phone should be free if they are expecting you to sign a contract of any length. $9.99 should be for a pay as you go phone that is locked to the wireless provider.
I am very much the type of person who would rather have one thing that does one thing well than lots of things mediocrely (sp?). I have a decent digital camera for photos, my ipod for music and I used to have a cell and a PDA but that was sacrificed when I bought my Treo 600.
For me, I got the treo because I go fed up carrying my PDA AND a phone on my belt. I went from an Audiovox 6800 which is a really small phone compared to the Treo and after about a day I got used to the size. It's big but not that big and was relatively easy to get used to. My only gripe with it is the ring isn't as loud nor the vibrate strong enough so there are times (i.e on a bus) when I may not feel/hear it.
Three people in my office purchased the Razr and hate them. They said that sure it looks pretty but it handles like it is stuck in molasses i.e button presses are slow to respond. These were the first bunch that came out through Rogers cellular service.
If the iPod responded to instructions from the cd-changer buttons, you'd have an interface more suited to the car I am sure someone has probably mentioned this in the responses but I haven't seen it yet. I bought the ipod2car which interfaces to my Jeep Liberty CD interface which allows me to skip tracks, seek and will also charge the Ipod while connected. Funny thing is that I still use the click wheel more as it is closer to the shifter than the radio. The catch to the ipod2car is if you have anything else that uses the interface for example a cd changer or satellite radio, you have to disconnect one. I really like it and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for it
One thing I found you can do is include an * at the end of the workstation name for that part of the sysprep.inf , this will stop the automated section so you can plunk in the name as it is considered an invalid character. Everything else will still apply as expected. You can't do it through the gui setup tool, you have to open the file and manually input it.
Or the best thing he could do get rid of the wrist rest and start moving the mouse with his shoulder instead with little movement in his elbow. Wrist rests are horrible as people tend to "rest" their wrists there which makes the wrist immobile thus aggravating the RSI.
Where I work servers get replaced every couple of years when the warranty runs out. There are apps and databases owned by specific groups that have existed since the 400Mhz was the bleeding edge in server processor speed. Because of politics and the replacement process, the current servers are running at minimal processor capacity when these applications could be sitting on a virtual server rather than using real hardware.
So now, no attachments == some security I assume you are also stating to not allow any removable media. If you don't allow attachments then users will find some other way to get some file that they need (or "think" they need) and there is no better method than floppy/USB Key/CD for that.
IPconfig doesn't work if you are on one machine (in my case my dad's) and want to know what your external ip is on another machine (mine) to remote into, which was what I was talking about. The respondent to my other post appears to be talking about being on the machine in question.
One of the ways I have to find out what my IP is to check the SMTP headers from any emails sent to another account. I have had to do it sometimes when I am at a friends house and want to remote in.

That is basically what I did with a vb script set to run every weekday through Windows scheduler service (similar function as cron)
Then why do they say to leave cell phones off until you enter the terminal. It interferes with ground comms as well.
BTW the mispelling of moron was intentional "moran"

And in some cases all you get is Web access and no vpn due to proxy config (Westin in Calgary for example)

It's not GNU/Linux distributions that have caused ISPs to decide to bandwidth throttle bittorrents.

My lawyer tells me a verbal contract is as good as the paper it's written on...
:)
Do you have that in writing?

Back on subject, the first trackpad I saw wasn't on a laptop it was the Cirque Trackpad which should help.
