Iran has shown a connection of 0 for the past week or so. That doesn't mean a cable was cut does it? Just means that you cannot ping that one router. Last time I checked Iran had more than 1 router.
"If we implement this cap, the 5% of our user base will pick up and use another provider thus solving our infrastructure problems."
There just going to ward off the heavy users, and your typically dumb home user will continue to pay for their service. They are probably thinking that no one else will care but the heavy users, thus eliminating their infrastructure problem.
Pardin if this is a stupid question, but looking through the site...it shows a router in Florida is down. Am I reading this correctly? Again sorry if this is a stupid question.
You take a mans love for music, and give him the ability to interact with it without much skill required, or money. This is a great way to success.
I love playing drums. Even more I love playing to some of my favorite songs. You really get into it and feel like your apart of it.
That is correct however the point I was trying to make was that kids don't download and install the game thinking. "Dude I really want to know how to apply a tournaqite." (Sorry for bad spelling)
Yeah I remember watching that part of the game to. I found it interesting and somewhat educational, but that's not what was running through my mind when I was installing it.
This desktop sold out quickly and has been cited as proof that consumers are tired of the Windows tax and ready for Linux
Tired of Windows tax? Common this has got to be the dumbest troll I have seen yet.
Look at the general population at wal-mart. Most of the people there want something with a cheaper price tag over quality. Do you honestly think that these consumers are purchasing this PC with the mind set that "Oh I'm sticking it to Microsoft by not buying a Windows PC!" Hell no. They buy it because it's $200 bucks. You could load any operating system on it and people would STILL buy it.
This has nothing to do with the operating system, it's simple, it's cheap, and the consumers at wal-mart will buy it.
The majority of your PC buyers just want something cheap.
Here is the issue I had. I am a Network Admin for a company of about 60 users and 25 servers.
When I first started my Boss was the director of IT. He had his Blackberry and for the most part did all the work not directly related to servers and Cisco equipment. He always warned me that if I step to far out to help or take care of an issue, that I could never step back.
1 year later I still work for this company and I am now the director of IT. I have hired a new guy as a programmer and IT mook to setup new users and what not. I now have a Blackberry and I see what my old boss meant. Now that I respond to emails, it's like your EXPECTED to be "Johnny on the spot." If you don't then you get a negative look on your shoulders.
Yeah you can balance work with home, but when your users start taking advantage of you it begins to consume your life. It becomes more routine to have to check your email every hour, and respond to specific issues. Yeah I could simply turn my phone off, but again... you will have CEO's CFO's COO's who expect that work to be taken care of or at least responded to that night. When you start to cut back people begin to ask questions "Does this guy still care for the company?"
To this day I somewhat regret getting my phone and reaching out. Yeah being the Admin here I do need to be "Johnny on the spot" but only for more critical issues, like the Exchange Server went down.
brought an immediate response Monday from AMD, which said it has never authorized shipments of products either directly or indirectly to Iran or any other embargoed country."
Sounds like something is trying to cover their tracks in case something catastrophic were to happen.
That's not work. There is no work to gain skills in Eve. You gain them at a fixed rate according to your attributes, and that's IT. It fosters an environment of elitism because if you start RIGHT NOW, you will never, ever have as many SP as I do, and I in turn will never have as much SP as people who started before me.
Who cares if someone has more SP than you? The great thing about EVE is that someone with 20 mill. It is a skill based game not (Who has more l33tness in their character.)
Wow....that's just pure dumb right there.
I wish you Apple kids would get off your high horse and stop this "Mac doesn't have viruses" nonsense.
We have plenty of IT people available to us, the problem is finding those who know their stuff over those who think they know their stuff.
Setup, config and testing.

Engadget also has a video they posted here.

HOWEVER the video is currently broke. I'd expect them to have it fixed soon for your viewing pleasure.
Sorry if this was already posted. Here is actual footage of the shoot down.

Uhh...when was the last time Google charged you for something?
I'm OK with Ad's if they bring the price down of the service I am using. This does not appear to be the case.
Here you go sir. http://www.flickr.com/photos/23637168@N05/sets/72157603887577097/

Also look at this.

Does that mean Florida is offline? No it just means you cannot communicate with one of their routers.
I could see what these guys at TW are thinking.

Sad thing is...it will probably work to.

People don't play Americas Army so they can learn about how our miltary works, and what it would be like.
They play it because it's a free online FPS game that was well made.
Sounds like a perfect time for a turist attack. Easy to blame it on the fact that we cannot tap into the phone lines.
Eh maybe my tin foil hat isn't on all the way.

Yeah that's how World of Warcraft worked. So many teams were shattered because of it. Our BF2 clan was destroyed by that POS game.
I know how you feel.
Did someone get his feelings hurt?
What were they doing looking for pictures anyway? Trying to find some goods?
Um...yes? What's the problem?

So this could help with tsunami warnings right?
And for those reasons you cannot blame Microsoft for being an epic failure. It's the 3rd party vendors.
True, but big corporations can manipulate the vote.
