People seem to have the wrong idea here, I highly doubt that a system like this would examine a photo and say this is your criminal, it's more likely to be used to narrow down searches from... well... everyone, to maybe giving the top 50 matches or something to work with. Sounds like a great idea to me.
well that really had to happen, i've just tried it and you can't really go wrong if one of the top 15 tags is 'photo' and another of the tags is 'thing'.
If people stuck to buying their music for what they want the play it on, then DRM wouldn't be a problem. Complaining that you brought a song from site x and it won't work on device y is a bit like saying I brought this CD, it works fine on my CD player but I can't get it to play on the turntable at my grandparents house.
So far it's certainly secure, it's so secure that i couldn't even get the beta version to start, hopefully the final release will be a little less secure than that.
Should the title not read "Vista, the end of an error?"?
I really can't see the problem with these, though I do always have a pair of tuff kuts handy http://www.stjohnsupplies.co.uk/products/default.a sp?productId=F11931
what do i do with this next time i get a check in the post, take my laptop down to the bank and tell them i'd like to cash the check on the screen?
Linux? No, it ran windows, that's why it's taken so much time to try to figure it out.
I think i'll stick with cheap keyboards for the moment, unless these things are coffee proof, then it might be worth the investment.

Also, how would a dual-standard drive handle this if one should ever come to exist?/ 09/1530230 Surely you mean when they make one.
what do you mean if one should come to exist http://hardware.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=06/07
I'll have to get a new set of questions for my trivial pursuit now, one of the cards asks how many planets are in our solar system.
there's a much simpler solution than electronic bullets and encoded guns and things like that, just don't let stupid people have guns. Problem solved.
