Why is this comment modded up?!? It is public information, so, yeah, it can be published by a "Public source..." If you want to debate the fact that it's public information, that's one thing, but you're not.
Well, it's about cost-benefit analysis, isn't it? For you, the liabilities of exposing yourself on the Web outweigh the benefits. Not true for others. Then, there's the group that doesn't understand either, but that's their problem...

Maybe Apple simultaneously developed three iPhone 5s: one with WiMAX, one with LTE, and one with HSPA+? Maybe the WiMAX model came out of production first (why, who knows/cares)? Maybe Apple is taking advantage of the situation this way?
This story is really fascinating to me as I just finished up the Hunger Games trilogy. I wonder if Collins got the idea for mockingjays here or it's just a coincidence...
>The developers were told that they'd get no income from the giveaway.
But is sounds like a bait and switch: why is Amazon even "advertising" the 20% if in fact that is NO WAY that any developer will be able to realize 20% in the free app giveaway program? It's not an issue of what the developer signed up for. It's an issue of Amazon's false advertising: "HERE'S A GREAT DEAL FOLKS!!! (But you can never actually get it since you have to agree to terms that won't let you)."

Maybe, just maybe, FB wants the brain as much as the technology? That a buyout would include some comfortable, longer-term handcuffs?
Insert the customary SkyNet/Borg comment here...
From your ID and comments, it's obvious you're new to Slashdot. Talking to random people? Bars? DATING?!? Getting...what was the term you used? :P
Actually, I prefer to spritz up apple with a dash of lemon--makes the sections last longer :P I'm here all day...

So I'll start an indiegogo page to get the funding...as long as someone else starts a fund for me because I did good by starting the fund :-)
That comment alone says it all...

Welcome to the country that gave you University of Phoenix...
You must be a youngster. You forgot about the movie star that was in charge of California for several years...then was in charge of THE COUNTRY.
We all need to see Being There again (or, for the first time)...

So I won't cry you a river :-)
Wish they also cross-referenced with a question asking who believes in Intelligent Design.
>I will adjust, but I still think that the decision sucks.
I agree that the decision sucks. I was hoping that in the spirit of GMail, they were going to rename BlogSpot to GSpot...
