just like the germany dns censorship story... "OH MY GOD!! DNS ENTRIES HAVE BEEN VIOLATED IN A FAR OFF LAND... MUST PUT ON... OPEN SOURCE... AVENGER... PANTS... RIGHTS...VIOLATED"

Why is this modded up at all?
Let's hope Douglas Adams (a respected author of novels) post-mortem books aren't like Chris Farley's (fat funny tv hoo-ha man) post-mortem movies? Hell, I sure hope not, considering it's not the same thing.
Yep. It's like someone submitting a story like this:
"XCorp released their new Q-product today, and at $39.99, it's not a bad price. Especially if you need to do Z."
and having timmah tack on "But why spend $39.99 when you can order Mandrake QEmu for only 4-easy payments of $5.99*!!!! Ubelievable value! Click here! *plus a monthly subscription of $49.99.
The big ad I got in the middle of my article was an ad for Intel's Xeon, and a bit down from that were the quotes praising Intel's strategies... Hrm...
or anything in the "Jet Li" collection.
The Enforcer
The Defender
The Master
Tolerable Jet Li: Once Upon a Time in China, Kiss of the Dragon, and Twin Warriors. The rest is crud.
It dosen't mean they _wont_ help.
It actually might. A lot of companies are (rightfully so?) concerned about their techs shooting from the hip on non-supported OS's. ex. - some hotshot thinks he knows his Linux so he starts spitting out things for you try, and manages to really screw something up. Now you're pissed off and the company is at fault. That's part of the reason why they have supported OS's, so they have standard things that are "ok" to do. I work tech support and one thing we're not allowed to do is edit a customer's registry with them over the phone (too risky, delete the wrong key and something could get fubar'd.) If an OS isn't supported, those guidelines aren't in place, and a tech support guy might get the company in trouble with the customer when he accidently finds out he doesn't know as much as he thought he did;)
