Xigackly - In most jurisdictions, EULAs mean squat.

  2. Re:Out of curiosity... on Linux Desktop to Appear On Every Asus Motherboard · · Score: 4, Insightful

In total, about 300 million Linux devices are produced each year. About 1% of that are servers and desktops. A larger proportion are laptops. Asus alone, sells more than a million Eee PCs per quarter. Consequently Linux laptops outsell Apple by a wide margin.

  3. Check your laws on Running Mac OS X On Standard PCs · · Score: 1

That EULA is not necessarily legal in your state. For one, many states forbid 'tied selling', others interpret the transaction as a sale, which gives you full ownership rights. So, mostly Apple just tries to scare people and if you are timid enough to be scared, then so be it...

Yeah well, it is Fedora - what did you expect? If you want an easy to use Linux, then Fedora should be close to the bottom of the list, between Gentoo and Slackware.

  13. Check their junk mails??? on Spam Filtering For Small/Medium Business? · · Score: 1

Why? The whole point of junk mail filters is so that people DON'T have to look at junk mail. I get about 10,000 junk messages per hour. I cannot look at them even if I wanted to. My junk filters are 99.999% effective, so only about one of those crap message slip through to my inbox per hour and I still find that annoying.

I'm, using my Eee PC every day, but certainly not with Windows. Although I can run Win XP in Virtualbox on it, that was just for a lark. Since the Windows display is not properly configurable like Linux, running Windows on these machines is a pain.

Keep it simple and separated. Also, DC power at 12V is much simpler and cheaper to generate and good enough for RV style lighting fixtures.

To generate 12V DC to charge a car battery, get a 24V or 36V cooling fan for a stationary motor (for something like a large industrial compressor) and mount it on a post. Add a big diode and hook it to the battery. Simple as that.
