I agree on this point. Cops spend a few weeks searching all over a probable killer's place for evidence (the now ex-football player) before actually arresting and charging him (which is proper), being careful even though it seems clear that he was at least involved; but this guy makes a joke and they just nab him, without him having actually done anything illegal and with no evidence that he would have? Just not right.
I was one of those who was surveyed. I am happy to report that in this case I was one of the minority - in fact, I'd say this level of invasion is akin to terrorism itself, in that many are terrified that this egregious act of domestic espionage is only the tip of a very large iceberg.
Or, he doesn't care for the company you often get in random matches. One's age and social group can make a huge difference upon your preferences. I don't think I'll chuck him / her over so quickly to the introvert crowd. Your AC post is the one I'd personally judge to be more antisocial.
I say go for it. I'm 39 and have just changed FROM programming into something different, but my father was an Air Force pilot for 20 years, programmer for 10 years after leaving the military, was out of programming for 10 years in another industry, and has recently (as in, four weeks ago) gone back to programming at the age of 62. He was hired because he has proven over and over again that he is adaptable and capable of learning. In an economy that saw my negative-minded, high-school-only 56-year-old mother-in-law look for work for over 40 weeks, my father found his new job inside of a month, without knowing anyone within the company who hired him.
I'm not saying it's easy-peasy, but if you have skills and desire, you're likely to do well. Best wishes!
The GP was not claiming to be pirating, they just stated they don't buy any of it any longer. In this case, they're doing exactly what you suggest people do.
Yes, actually. When I bought Skyrim on DVD, it would NOT install directly - it *always* downloaded from Steam. In playing many games (Bioshock: Infinite being the most recent) it logs into Steam prior to launch no matter what I do. Again, I bought retail rather than via Steam. I haven't tested trying to run either in a disconnected state, so I don't know if the login failing would cause either not to launch, but even just automatically logging in bugs me.
I'm a non-anonymous Southerner, and I can agree that while it's probably not quite as bad as people elsewhere believe it is, we've still not quite escaped our past. Things are getting better generally (look back at the 1960s and 1970s and you will see that is factual), but yes, things like this at the very least give the appearance of a socially backwards society. A friend of mine from NYC once told me, "I thought I had seen racism. Then I came to college here."
If you abhor racism, the very fact that it is stronger here than in many places is a reason to STAY - I can be an active voice against it.
If you read the article, you will learn that the process being used is not photosynthesis, and that the end product leads to a net gain in energy, rather than the loss that occurs with all hydrogen extraction processes used to date.
I've wondered, would it benefit us in any way to send something out perpendicular to the orbital plane? I realize you don't get to swing by points of interest, and you don't get the slingshot effect of doing so either, but still, just curious. Thoughts?
I too have used iGoogle for as long as I can really recall, and agree that its retirement puzzles me greatly. NetVibes doesn't really do it for me; I'm trying igHome for now as the purpose of the project is to closely (not exactly) replicate iGoogle.
As for WP8, I have a Lumia 920 (got it on release day) and enjoy it thoroughly - it's not just not bad, it's actually good (my opinion of course).
Not in my case as a US citizen. Four employers, four places where I was paid (and still am in the latest case) bi-weekly via direct deposit.

I would venture that in this case, they're not shallow enough to be okay with the director avoiding the big picture.

Oh so close to haiku :)
Dub in Navajo
Show it to the Japanese
Just to piss them off
Co-fucker? If you're like this face to face, I don't imagine you HAVE a co-fucker. Which would in turn possibly explain the 'tude. Vicious cycle, no?

Nicely stated.
A side thought - I wonder what percentage of people sticking up for Google on this point regularly pirate media via torrents and newsgroups.
Your support is called a "vote." I'd think a ganja dude would be "cool, brah," with not giving dirty money to dirty people.
You've put into words (quite nicely) what I've thought. Thanks for a positive contribution.

Intelligence != ease/convenience of data acquisition
:) (didn't have mod points for +1 funny)
Hm.. that's about when I created my account. I don't know what I did to scare you away, but I apologize :)
You really should have logged in - you deserve credit. Good joke.
I can't entirely disagree with that sentiment. However, we aren't threatening to start a nuclear, all-out no-holds-barred attack on them either.
The Moors were stopped...
Oh no, I'm so sorry it's the Moops. The correct answer is the Moops.
But what about crack IN moderation?

They do so via radio waves utilizing the "Deep Space Network" (no, really!). You can find a NASA PDF as well as Wiki page, etc.
