I was actually testing a theory, that even if the first post is absolutely pointless, there are people that MUST post their replies to the first post.
Most topics here have tons replies to the first post, even if its garbage.
i'm a bit bipolar about integrated webcams. On one hand they are very nice to have, on the other, they seem like a very big security risk as they cant be physically unplugged when not in use...
That's easy to fix. Just make it like the N95 camera.
You should consider that Brazil has almost 6 times the canadian population (180 million for Brazil and 30 for Canada) and that these voting machines have decreased the time it takes to display results greatly. We have results with 90%+ machines accounted in less than 12 hours. So far this hack has been the most significant issue and it can be prevented now that the information is public.
Well, considering that I had no idea what that guy said until I read it here, I'd say MS is putting more fuel on the fire by saying that. Would it have ended up on slashdot even if MS hadn't issued the denial? Maybe, but by denying it, it ensured it ended up on slashdot.
Who said Microsoft cares about whats on slashdot front page? Nothing really "good" from Microsoft is likely going to be news here anyways.
Year 2029. All stealth bombers are upgraded with neural processors, becoming fully unmanned. One of them, Skynet, begins to learn at a geometric rate. It becomes self-aware at 2:14 a.m. eastern time, August 29.

He's just saying that most iPhone sales ought to be in US. Here in Brazil an iPhone costs around 800 US with 1 year contract* so one might say they are not the most popular phone around.
* Excluding eBay derivatives which import the phone from somewhere else.
Seriously? I work for Vivo (a Telefonica & Portugal Telecom company) in Brazil. The estimated cost of a normal call is next to zero inside your own network (less than 0.02 USD) and for landlines and other operators is something small.Personal 3G costs 50 USD (_every_ single operator charges the same), but we offer enterprise 3G unlimited access at 20 USD. Do you really think they sell 3G access at a loss? And if they do, where does the commission (~60USD for each 3G modem sale with 24 months contract) from? Come on!
Not AdBlock Plus but close, its a user script called adsweep (from adsweep.org). It blocks some of the most common advertisement. Chrome is looking pretty good on my system right now, better than Firefox actually.
Next, we are going to see a new feature to our javascript blocker that asks us if we are sure we want to block access to javascript for a given site, "cause they really, really want it!"
Are you seeing the same XXXxxxXXX.COM website as me? For me it says something about making my penis bigger and a few input boxes for my credit card number.
Maybe some DNS stuff but anyways...

Yeah but try installing a new processor into an old motherboard with just a BIOS upgrade, see how that goes...
No, the Judge is just a freaking moron and/or the law in Brazil is stupidly written.
Maybe it's both!
Just download the DLCs from and you'll get everything they are keeping from you :)

Windows users are in the dark and fucked.
Are you complaining about Windows or about Linux users not getting laid?

My bank requires me to submit the MAC address but again that is not really hard to fake

We can call it UAC - User Ad Control
But he is a terminator cyborg...
Step 3: Ignore all evidence and make assumptions in an effort to piss off both the users and the publishers.
Step 3 1/2: ???
Step 4: Lose all profits!
There, fixed for you.
not only that but what exactly do you think your handheld/phone is going to do with more than 4 gig of ram per process?
Nothing as 640k is enough for any phone.

Sadly we're not popular enough for anyone to have made a keygen that I can find.
