I like this model, and I can't help but thinking of the password entry screens that work like this. Mistyped your password the first time? OK, wait a couple of seconds and you can try again. Mistyped again?!? Wait a minute. Not this again, wait an hour luser.
Ug. I guess you've never had the pleasure of working with an HP ILO2 login screen.
That's why I love buying online and picking up at the store. Purchased an LCD TV for my parents for Christmas and didn't have to deal with anyone trying to push me to purchase an extended warranty, over-priced cables, TV stand, receiver, DirecTV service or anything. I probably could have saved $50 by purchasing from a reputable online store, but it was pretty darn convenient to pick it up that same day. I also got to laugh at the 50+ people in line buying stuff while I was in and out of the store in 10 minutes.
Past/recurrent injuries are the main reasons I no longer play real soccer. The ability manage a team, control my players, score amazing goals I could never pull off in real life are reasons that I play the video game version these days. Oh yeah, I can also win the World Cup, FA Cup, Champions League, etc. I'll never be able to play on the pitch at Wembley's either...
And in the last 5 years, they've been outsourcing to India for support. Sometimes it takes a few tries to get someone without a heavy accent.
Yes, they help when you can understand them. Yes, they do go out of their way to do so. My issue is that, really, as much as I'd rather not work the phones, it would be nice to have that job right now.
That said, what part of my comment was anti-AT&T?
It really depends which support department you are calling. Basic phone service, billing issues, roaming issues, data phones, etc are all handled by different departments. I know for a fact the Roaming and Data support departments are domestic. So if you have an issue with your BB, iPhone, PDA, etc, you will be speaking with someone in the U.S. Whether or not English is their primary language is a different story however.:-)
- Great GPS integration for nearly every app both for consumption (shopping, dining, directions) and production (contextualizing input data)
iPhone gave me all of this. I tried Palm and Blackberry and they never came close to what I wanted. The iPhone is actually the first technology device in a very long time that I'm absolutely fully satisfied with. No complaints, no qualms, no niggles. That never happens, but it happened with the iPhone. You'd have to pry it out of my cold, dead hands.
No complaints at all? How about battery life (or lack thereof) when using the GPS. Hope you always have a car charger available or don't need to use the phone after about 2 hours of GPS use.
Well, I'm sure the cellular service providers could somehow strong arm the manufacturers into doing that. The cellular service providers typically lose money on each phone, but more than make up for it via their 1 and 2 year service agreements. The dual SIMs would be a boon for the cellular service providers IMO.
Exactly. I'm already pausing the game every 2 seconds during combat to make sure everyone is doing what they are supposed to. I would hate for two people to fight over the pause during co-op play.
Wouldn't the roads essentially pay for themselves? In theory we would be buying electricity from the DoT instead of Power Company X. In reality we, the consumer, would never see any savings or lowering of taxes, but I would think enough revenue would be generated from this to pay for upgrades, damages, etc.
Try reinstalling that VAIO with a different Windows version, one that hasn't been customized by Sony, and then post your luck getting all the right hardware drivers and configuring the system. You're comparing a PREINSTALLED version that has all the kinks already worked out by some guy at Sony, to a MANUALLY installed operating system you have to configure yourself. It's like saying how much easier it is to just drive that new car you just bought from the dealer to buying the same car and then swapping the engine yourself.
More anecdotal evidence...
I've installed 3 windows OSes on my Asus Laptop, Windows 7 by far was the most complete in terms of everything "just working." If I didn't want to play modern games on it, I would not have even had to download the latest nvidia drivers. With XP I had issues with my HD audio driver (HDMI out to TV, but no sound) and wireless. It also wouldn't sleep/hibernate properly half the time. Vista was just a hog in general.
I did mess with one of the Ubuntu's for a little bit on my 2nd HD and honestly don't recall too anything too drastically wrong, but I didn't feel like taking the time to put VMware Workstation on with XP so I could run all my work related activities.
And there are people who have ALL of those items (and more) and they add up to well more than the price of a single Seqway.
I guess only rich people have kids as well? I mean, they cost WAY more EVERY year than a single Segway. Man those smug rich families with all those kids, the nerve of them!
I see a lot of comments stating how these are only for rich people, etc. I 've seen price tags in the $5000 - $10,000 range. How is this limited to rich people only? People pay prices like that for all sorts of items that are not considered necessities - TVs, computers, stereo systems, bicycles, motorcycles (when they already own a car), insert hobby of choice, etc. The list could go on.
I personally would not buy one, although I can afford one and I am definitely not rich by any stretch of the imagination. I think it's fine to hate them for whatever reason, but to hate them because only "rich" people use them so they can act smug and look down on other people is just plain silly in my opinion.
The Segway is a wheelchair for people who's only disability is extreme laziness. No wonder Americans are so goddamn fat.
Damn. That *must* be it! I could never figure out why there are fat Americans. I find it so amazing I *never* see fat people when I visit other countries. Must be the lack of Segways...

I think they've done pretty well with their c7000 blade systems in recent years.

Wow. #1 if you can't get laid without paying for it, you're a loser, plain and simple.
I guess you've never been on a date and women just throw themselves at you for "free?"
. Our kids are "FGs", which means either "Florida Gators" or "F--king Geninuses", I'm not sure which.
Aren't those mutually exclusive??? ;-)

Wouldn't it be nice if the new hand held had a "mini-hdmi" connector so you could hook it up to a big screen?
Umm....JBOD, anyone?

Competition is really tough, with some countries taking months off school to concentrate only on IOI training.
I think that implies there is more to this than self-motivation and there *are* specialized schools for this stuff for kids that age.
