Would it help to have a very plain and visible sticker on your car stating that events in and around the vehical may be recorded visually and audio. I know most bank branches I go into have warnings on the doors that you may me monitored and recorded. By seeing the sticker and approaching the car, one would assume that you agree to be recorded. If they don't, they can announce over the loud speaker to shut off any recording devices. IANAL.
I have a LG Rumor Phone. The battery indicator only has three bars. I can believe that it will show all three bars up until I'm below 50%, maybe less. When it gets to 2 bars, I know I have maybe 3-4 hours left, and that's of just being on. When it has one bar, I have probably less then 1 hour before it dies. As soon as all battery bars are gone, it doesn't even have enough juice left to turn on and tell me it's dead. I believe that they might "alter" the display to show you what they want. Granted, it only takes maybe 30-40 minutes to full charge from dead, and a full charge will last me around 6-7 days, unless I'm talking to 1-900 numbers.
Ok, so now we will have one Sat Radio conglomirate. There compitition is free land radio and MP3 players. What happens when once again it is not profitable, and it desides to fold. Will good ol' Uncle Sam be there to say it's ok, we have to prop them up, for the good of the people?
FF games would have been the only thing to bring me to buy a PS3. Thank you Squenix for saving me $500. I can use that to buy a blu-ray add-on for my xbox if it is needed. Or, as Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey has proven, you can have multi-disc games on 360 without an issue. I only wish the 120GB HD for 360 didn't cost so freaking much. But then again, a PS2 mem card still costs around $20. I love my 360, even after 1 RRoD episode, only down for about 10 days. I have to say it is by far my favorite console to date, going all the way back to Atari 2600.
According to the Yahoo report this morning, the North Pole will be ice free for the first time in human history. Really? People were recording the ice flows 6-10-25 thousand years ago? We've only been a full scale sea exploring people for ~500 years. The first man reached the north pole in what, the early 1900's?! Wow, first time in human history the north pole is water. There are ancient Roman port towns that are over 1 mile from the current shore line. How do global warming experts explain that? That was 2000 years ago. Obviously, the ice caps were much smaller back then, for the ports to be a mile from sea.
IANAL, but you cannot agree to an EULA type of document without first being able to view/read/analyze/take to a lawyer. With it being a registered mail item, you have to sign before taking ownership. Thus, you have to sign before reading, which would null anything in the EULA. Again, IANAL.
I thought they had done studies in the late 80's/early 90's that showed that most females have less understanding in math then most males. As a result, didn't they start "dumbing down" the math portions of these critical exams to make them a bit more fair to the females? And the same with the english arts, dumb down for the males?
For the big oil companies to realize the need for other types of energy, as oil is finite.
Maybe next they can start on the long road to getting nuke plants approved.
I work for an ambulance company. We use the Itronics GoBook III. It's rugged and touted for use by Fire depts, Police, Military and Ambulance people, with some other as well. We have a fleet of about 30 of these books, and have yet to have a problem with the rugged parts. We do have issues with displays getting cracked, ports breaking loose, missing keys, things like that. We've had one run over by an ambulance(they are heavy), and it survived. It was misformed but usable. As for actual performance, good luck. Your top of the line electronics do not match well with survivability in rugged laptops. They do make fine weapons to defend yourself with if need be.
Hi. I'm the judge in this courtroom. I told your ass to get out of here once. you didn't listen. You came back with the same complaint. Guess what happens. I deny any and all settlement offers you offer to the counter-claimer. I will make it pretty damn clear this time your crap will not be welcome in this courtroom again. Prepare for contempt processes. Oh ya, I'm gonna make sure they put you in the same cell as a guy who likes to steal car steroes.
Violent crime victims sue weapons manufacturers for enabling criminals to harm them. Already happened, numerous times in the US. Also, people who injury themselves while breaking and entering have sued homeowners for damages, and have won in the US.
pretty easy to pick out the person engaged in either transmitting or downloading violent scenes of rape, molestation" simply by looking at file names. Ok, so all my Metallica files will be relabled (Not Metallica_Not Illegal file_Ignore). That should keep the feds off me.
There was an article in the Denver post a few weeks ago about this very issue as Denver wants to "test" the program. One of the lights they want to test has had many accidents. An independant firm went out there at looked at the light. The yellow was a full second below the federal limit for the posted speed on the road. Accident heaven. The city said they will not change the light timing if the cameras were installed. I wonder if you would be able to counter-sue for not following federal highway regs if you get a ticket.
A side note, they said all revenue would go to the PD, to increase traffic safety more. I read that as the top brass gets bigger bonus for bringing in more money, to buy more cameras, to get more bonus.
Colorado Springs has motorcycle cops, exclusively for traffic stops. All revenue they get goes straight back into the motorcycle cop program. They get nice new bikes every 2 years, an ever increasing force, and loathing from other patrol cops. And, the police helicopter is being shut down due to budget issues.
I thought that's what the whole thing was about. Wasn't it included because the colonist got tired of having soldiers stop them on roads to check their papers? SOLDIERS, not cops.
Are these your papers?
Where are the papers to prove these are your papers?
IT'S WAL-MART. The employees selling the junk in the electronics department don't even know what the ESRB rating system is and they had them try and sell a off-brand PC loaded with Linux. WTH comes to mind on that one.
Anyone who would resonably know what Linux is, would not buy a off-brand workstation at Wal-Mart. Who were they selling to? People who know Intel and Windows and HP and buy computers off of Home Shopping Network or off the back of the Parade Magazine, wrong group.
for someone to make a nice RPG of Sonic. With bioware heading up the project it would be pretty fun, even if a little kiddie. I can see something similiar to Mario RPG. A Quake RPG or something would be fun as well.
Sure, the airlines use government funded air terminals, requiring them to adhere to government policies. They are private companies though, if they wanted they could make you fly wearing a pink tutu and a necktie around your arm. There are private buildings all over the country that require visitors to sign a log book or present ID to gain access, you don't see people up in arms about that. Put an airplane in the mix and asking for ID is too much?

IANAL, but isn't $5 million US for bail a bit excessive for this?

I recall someone named Suddam who continually told a judge he didn't have the authority to hear the case. We all know how that turned out.

Well, at least someone with a crimal background is getting into politics rather then a politition getting into criminal activities.
Sweet gravy no. I'm having a hard enough time learning inductors/capacitors. Good thing this kind of stuff does hit university for a good 15+ years.

Maybe STEC can get Kurt Denke on the phone about this. He seems to have pwned Monster Cables with patent C&D latters.
