Because anything that is white has reflected/emitted all visible spectrums. Meaning that the origin does not have those colors. So when you see white, the thing has no color.
That's why white is the absence of color, and the presence of all (visible) light. And black is the opposite. It's a matter of knowing that light and color are two separate things.
Not really, because you could just start looking for places on the radar that aren't coming back rather than points that are returning faster than normal.
I was about to say that myself about the Linux picture having less entry points. It looks like the Windows picture relies on some system calls that are called by just about everything. It seems that you could do a lot for security by first focusing on these central points.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof. The burden of proof lies not with me to disprove the existence of your god, but for you to prove he exists. I am not claiming anything, you are claiming that there is a god and that he created the cosmos. On which assumptions and observable facts do you base this claim?
There is no evidence to support a divine authority. Therefore we work with the assumption that there is none.
Looks like Apple Corps. got the short end of the stick on this one. Apple, Inc. got ownership of all trademarks in regard to the Apple name and will license them back to the company that used it first.
I hope that Apple Corps. isn't paying for those licenses. I mean even if Apple, Inc. paid money to Apple Corps. in settlement, Apple, Inc. will just collect it all back in license fees later. And I doubt that Apple Corps. paid money to Apple, Inc..
On a significantly powerful phone. Hell, do a flip up design like this (http://www.nokiausa.com/phones/9300/0,7747,,00.ht ml) but put buttons instead of a qwerty keyboard. Slap an ARM in there and your done.
Guitar hero basically was Frequency/Amplitude with a guitar for a controller.
It is awesome and all that, and I do own both Guitar Hero games. But let's not kid ourselves. Guitar Hero's innovation over Frequency/Amplitude was in music selection/presentation, not gameplay.
Why are they asking "Why did Red Octane give over development to Neversoft?"?
Because Activision owns Red Octane and by extension the Guitar Hero brand. So if Activision wants Neversoft to make a game, then that's what happens. I don't quite blame them seeing as how Activision has in-house development teams.
Plus, would you really want Harmonix to make it, knowing full well they've been bought out by MTV?
I have some faith in Neversoft. They did provide us with the excellent Spiderman game for the PSX.
After reading the article, it seems he didn't develop the software from scratch but instead modified an already existing package. So, in other words he is calling the Wisconsin police department thieves for not letting him steal someone else's work.
Quick test to determine if IT is worth the money spent on it.
Fire them.
If your business collapses, then you were mistaken. If they are truly there "at the pleasure of the rest of the company", then they aren't really needed. But if the business can't run without them, then they are themselves vital to the company. Even more vital than the guy who can't find his email.
Contrived example: It's kind of like having an assistant. If you hired an assistant simply because you could, then yes get rid of them. But, if you hired an assistant to free up your time to deal with your business ventures and couldn't manage your business without the time freed up by the assistant, then your assistant is actually worth the money paid since it allows you to make even more due to your schedule being free. It's what we like to call an "intagible".
Ahem, IT is not solely programming. Programming falls within the realm of IT like oncology falls within the realm of medicine.
And I think that is one of the other big problems. People define IT as "stuff with computers". When really, there are many specific fields within IT. Hiring a C/C++ programmer to manage your network is a mistake for both the programmer and the company.
Um, the fact that the PS3 is no longer selling out (at least here in the States) should be a telling factor.
And maybe I should tell you about the two WalMarts, Target, Best Buy, Circuit City, Gamestop, and EB Games, all of which have PS3 stock. (Not to mention nearby (but inconvenient) Toys R Us stores).
Sony does have enough supply to fulfill demand now. Demand is just really low.
Didn't the Florida Bar Association try to get him disbarred for his conduct?
So, if you can't identify it, it's flying, and you are sure it is from a foreign nation, can we start assuming aliens then?
It's not like anyone would report the site as a phishing scam for cheap laughs.

Black is the abscence of light, not color.
White is the abscence of color.

And neither should you.
However, we can deduce the non-existence statistically and logically.

As an American, my reply would be much the same as if all the top spots were taken by U.S. cities.
I like to call it, "consider the source".
Actually, I'd look sideways at any metric that didn't have Mountain View, CA in there somewhere.
As based on Broadband deployment?
Instead of basing it on say, the intelligence of the community.
But, it was part of the Pacific Telecommunications Council, so I'm sure they have an agenda somewhere.

No offense, but posting on Slashdot does not automatically grant you knowledge about IT.
You mean if you had several million dollars, all you would do is "two chicks at one time".
What kind of woman would do that?

E3 is in July in Santa Monica this year.
Hell, even the title is misleading as the original article is entitled "GamePro Expo" gets final name. Did they even RTFA?
