    Sure, now and then that sort of stoopid corporate culture happens when investment dollars come in, but not in smart companies who want to do some real development.
    I would *really* like to think that something was learned from the late '90s in terms of sticking with a deal business plan, budgeting and ROI, regardless of how much funding one gets.

    Bullshit? Bullshit. We have something called {i]standard sizes[/i] in the building industry. Doors, windows, garage-doors, roof-pitches, fencing, siding, trim, steps... all of them are standard sizes. So I stand by that...any half-decent contractor can stand from the same spot the picture was taken and come up with the correct dimensions.

    Yes, I know that's impossible.. Since we are referring to contractors, it was meant to be presummed that I was speaking relatively. I can't think of many situations where the crown moulding needs to be trimmed as accurate as a nanometer. Let me re-phrase: Since it is not 100% accurate [i]compared with what their current accuracy standards are.[/i] Regardless, this thing is a piece of crap. They don't [i]know[/i] their market...they only think they do. If they acctually asked a professional in any field they thought this would be useful, they'd have been laughed at.

    Regardless, some shmuck is gonna have to measure everything out by hand to make sure the siding is cut to correct size. But since it is not 100% accurate, then its trash. A GOOD contractor can stand in front of that house, (like in the example picture) with nought but a pad and pencil, can come up up with the same dimensions.

    Well they're not really facing a class action lawsuit are they? Some gamer gets upset and starts a web site because nVidia banned him from their forums. How is that facing a lawsuit? I can cetainly understand wanting to look into a lawsuit, since they have been promoting their cards as "Vista Ready" for some time now. Hell, that sticker is one of the reasons I bought my card when I did, rather than putting it off till later. I haven't moved to Vista, and prolly won't for a while, but I was thinking I would before the next time I upgrade my box. Bah...maybe I will just wait it out. btw, is XP 64bit still gonna be available? or is that now a can't buy thing?

    I have to agree. When presenting it the way they did, I initially thought: "Cool...hang out on the ISS for a couple of days just the the previous 4 "space tourists"" This is more akin to driving all day to get to the beach, slowing down to have a look and then going home. Not that I would turn it down, but it is a bit misleading.

    Maybe I am being too niave about this, but wouldn't a simple defense be that yes, indeed you have bought those CDs? and since they have been lost/stolen/damaged/burned-by-ex-girlfried/whateve r? If what they now say is that you are buying a license to the music, then whose to say what you have bought? Honestly, how many people still have ALL of the CDs, cassette tapes, 8-tracks or vinyls that they have EVER bought? And why don't they get pissy about Second hand music shops? Hell, someone is making a profit from that.
