    Sure, being tied to the x86 architecture hurts, but it's nice to have a pretty base standard as far as architectures go and not have to learn different assembly languages, data flows, etc. for each new generation of computers.

    As a former technical support representative of Dish Network, the dishes were very hard to align. Every time you moved you had to figure out the angle, elevation and skew and re-set it. Apparently this will automagically cue into the nearest satellite.

    Actually, NASA is already tracking objects >3,300 feet in diameter, but this would be to track all objects capable of doing "massive damage" to Earth.

    My question is - why is it the job of the US to protect the world?

    Wouldn't this be a UN issue?

    With the advance of digital video being shown at movie theaters, does that mean that piracy of said movies will be better and more frequent?

    That is... would the quality be raised, i.e. the actual movie being copied vs. someone recording the screen? It would be a lot easier to borrow one of the HDDs, copy it, and return it rather than coming in w/ a tripod to record it.

    Something to think about...

Will you please go out into the woods and shoot yourself now or are you just as shameless as the Chritian right? Last time I checked, Bush never won with 100% of the vote. It was more like 53%. Don't try to group Americans into a group that follows blindly behind our leader. He may be the President of the US, but that doesn't mean that I, or many others, agree with what he is doing. The recent eviction of the Republicans from Congress should have been a sign to the world that many people don't like where the US is heading, but foreign countries seem to have failed to recognize that. By the way, we never elected him the first time. He lost the popular vote.

    And in other news, the Canadian video game manufacturer Nintendeh just announced the release of the new system NESA (Nintendeh Entertainment System, Eh) and the sequel to the ever popular "Duck Poke" being "Goose Poke". Nintendeh's spokesperson said in response to the games rather violent nature "You're just poking foul for Christ's sake! In America, you SHOOT the damn ducks, not poke them!".

    He was later booed off the stage and forced to wear a canadian bacon suit attached with maple syrup. Mounties were on hand to make sure the crowd did not get too rowdy, but the audience of 4 elderly men caused a ruckus.

    This was later found out to have been caused by a rather large intake of prune suit that morning.

    Today we have computers to do the math for us. Oh, really? I am a student at Pitt (Computer Engineering) who studied Differential Equations. Last I checked no computer could calculate the general solution of a 2nd order ODE. We have computers to do BASIC math for us, but upper level math still requires the computer on top of our shoulders.
