If this thing will be common I HATE MRIs but, I've been having massive headaches during and after sex. and yes I will wait, because I know the MRI tubes read my mind everytime go into one, and they won't let you bring a tin foil hat.
You could use a USB keyboard with DVORAK, it isn't totally unpractical at a desk. Esepcially with an external moniter, you could just fold up the laptop somewhere, with eternal KB/mouse, and moniter.
Though I know that kind of setup defeats the purpose of a laptop, I use my laptop on my main computer desk 95% of the time.
Is there some forum or wiki, that will will allow for a collaboration of ideas for revamping of the internet? Or will the changes be dictated soley by corporations?
Use your router! If your router is supported by any number of the router-distros, you can do those tasks. While using minimal power, since it would be on all the time anyways. If it has a USB port you can attach a hard drive to it. Bittorent? Sure. File server? Yep. Instant messaging? Maybe.
Downsides: Headless. SSH for access. Boot another computer to use it, shut it down when done.
Limited in many ways but, very economical.
That if regular windows desktop users are going to adopt linux, that they should have dual-options. Every regular desktop system should come with an option to have only Windows, dual-boot Windows(what they were going to get anyways)-Linux(at no extra cost), or just Linux. Perhaps they could show a few screenshots of Linux running XGL, firefox, games, etc. Most users would go "ooh Linux, I've heard about that, neat". They would have no reason not to have linux... except maybe the use of a few extra gigabytes. Or perhaps they should ship a Linux DVD somewhere in the assortment of shit software discs you get. Best of both worlds.
Let's take it apart.
bagboy writes to tell us that as sources of renewable energy are being sought, BP has announced a new method of extracting natural gas from ice underneath Alaska's North Slope drilling fields.

Yes, it's happening now, meanwhile...

a heatsink with the ability to change processor heat into electricity. It could be used to cycle back extra energy into the PSU while cooling itself. Less noise, less electricity. Or having engine walls with this material, to replace the altenator/magneto.
* New aero candy interface (I bet enterprise customers demanded this!). The Aero interface is probably pleasing the likes of companies such as Dell and emachines. =)
DVD maker. Shit... the only somewhat remarkable thing that stands out about upgrading from 2000 to XP was CD burning capabilities. Looks like Microsoft sure is good at keeping up with the portable media standards... (but not really).
Photo processing. Woo they upgraded paint.
Live thumbnails. This is interesting, possibly even usefull, though, I wonder if they are any bit quicker than XP at loading a folder filled with a thousand photos?
DirectX 10 Because every new DX version is very innovative. Another hardware push. The only difference is that this time you can't upgrade existing DX versions on XP machines to this spec, forcing many [gamers who would rather use every inch of reasources they could towards their software rather than an OS] to move to Vista specifically for this reason.
etc etc. Oh?
LMMS. Aims to be an alternative to FL. Documentation is in the form of skimp wiki. But if you know how to use FL I heard it's not too hard to get a hang of lMMS.
Take apart the laptop. Take the covers off the airways and heatsinks and clear out the major dust buildups with a straightened paperclip and use can air to make a thorough clean of all cooling facilities. My laptop fans used to idle high(and shut down) too... but after I did this it's as quiet as when I bought it.
distribute their black metal music. Hail Satan!

6,400 post-it notes ought to be enough to re-create any level.

Obligatory
Does it run Vista?

Strange, yeah.

This $5000 laptop that came preloaded with Windows Vista, still isn't as secure as those $100 laptops used by poor third world children.
It seems DRM is on the way out? I wonder how easy it will be to circumvent other DRM aside from various media formats...

Use of Flash 9.0 (8.0 is the highest version available for linux). Use sites that exclusively support IE.
