Not your Bitcoin. It boggles my mind that someone would entrust their life savings on a single crypto exchange. At least spread it out to a few different ones, the cost to withdraw Bitcoin on quadriga was nothing ( they paid the fee ). A $100 trezor would also have been a great part of the strategy.
How much did you get paid to publish this garbage?
You realize this diatribe only works on the uneducated right? With the slashdot crowd you are wasting your time.
This is great news. The "ads" for cyrptocurrencies and bitcoin and exchanges have been overwhelmed with phishing scams and missinformation. The organic results will be much better than any ads in this space!
I have used over 16 OCZ drives and pushed them to their limits with no problems. Obviously all drives will eventually fail regardless of their nature, and you should always backup and use raid if uptime is important. Anyone using any drive without redundancy and backups should not affect your opinion of these drives.

Nintendo sold over 4 million copies of Pokemon and 423 thousand 3DS the week of Oct 12.
I see no reason to think they are going away any time soon.
When someone comes up with an awesome idea and wins a google award this is generally a good thing. Why is everyone trying to knock her? She's a 15 year old inventor who created something pretty awesome through a lot of tinkering, research and hard work. I can see many uses for this and would very much like to get one if they are ever mass produced.
Set the default gateway to something that only that device uses. Only turn on the default gateway when you want them to access the system ( could be automated by making the default gateway a software service running on an existing machine that you can enable at will ).
First, I would use console games, being in front of a tv together feels like a social activity much more so than sitting behind two different computers. Get games of every genre and type, (party games, fps, strategy etc). I would start with the party games, as they often include many mini games. The idea is to find something she likes/enjoys, and then to explore the entire genre with her, and then pick another. Games that she has a natural aptitude for and that you generally suck at will be great. Also lots of games will balance the playing field out if you are doing poorly (Mario Kart!).
And remember to keep it fun. If she's bored with the game don't insist you keep playing, just find another, like you said you have lots of experience, and just like you it will take her some time to refine her tastes!
Also for the console experience, the PS3 is a great choice as online purchased games can be installed on more than one PS3. So you could have a two tv two ps3 setup in the living room (head to head FPS games, tetris, the new god of war).
Happy gaming!
RMS has spent his life fighting for your rights. And when he gets sick all you can do is pile dirt on him?
Sure he has some strange views on some things, but in all cases he pushes for greater personal freedom and less corporate ownership of 'ideas' and less government interference in personal lives.
What problems are you having?
I telecomute a lot on linux.
i use NXserver/NXclient to connect to remote desktops.
VNC and RDP to connect to client machines.
Skype to do video chat etc.
I have no problems... what is the problem you are having?
Tape storage capacity is great, and the streaming speed is also great.
but the seek times are ridiculous. This is why tape is dead to me. If I want to restore a single 1gb file from a 800gb tape.. it could take a very long time. If i want to restore a single 1gb file from a hard disk it is pretty much instantaneous.
Webm is just as good as h.264 imho. That said, I see no reason why the browsers shouldn't use the decoding abilities of the OS they reside on. This just makes common sense?
If I already have a license/ability to decode for h.264, why shouldn't I be able to use it in my browser?
The dea and war on drugs has only been around for about 90 years and has caused nothing but problems.
by your own reasoning we should go back to a state where the governents don't try to dictate what we should and should not consume.
Seems reasonable to me, I would like ot have juridstiction over my own body!
I mean seriously, next they'll be telling us we can't consume milk if it doesn't come from a farm that homogenizes the milk.

This is absurd.
Bitcoin has been holding it's price for months, not crashing. 6k or more since October 2017. Bcash is dropping very fast though.

It is worse than nothing. This gives people a false sense of security when they should be wary.
Then won't it take them thousands of years to close the gap? What am I missing here?

If this was really a problem it would have been noticed a long time ago.

If the objective is to learn Linux and how it works, there is no better option. Plus the Gentoo documentation in the best in class!
Well, that's all fine and dandy... but shouldn't they make it standards compliant first? What a waste of time!
