I enjoy watching IBM going down the toilet. They've alienated a whole generation of people that once worked for them, many of which have moved on to other companies that aren't corporate A-holes, and basically have become an Indian company. I , for one, will never hire IBM to do anything ever again, after their corporate malfeasance. Soon perhaps they'll learn that their management can be outsourced too, and then they can watch their stock price continue to sink on poor performance.
Ditto, I dumped Uber when the 5th or 6th nasty trick came to light. For me it was the fact that they were charging their customers 1 price, but showing a lower price to their drivers (i.e. not paying them what I was paying). That was the straw that broke this camel's back, so I dumped them. They were led by an a*hole, so is it any wonder.
Agreed, and you're forgetting to mention Anne Francis. What a babe! Would love to have had a chance for some harmless kissing with her!
Made in '56 and nominated for an Academy Award for best visual effects, which IMHO still look pretty good (Disney, after all).
Horn dog crewman, but wouldn't you be too if you were cooped up for months on a flying saucer?
Everywhere I look I see people heads down in their smart phones. Certainly no AI integrationyet, but is this the starting point for a higher level of eventual integration of humans and machines? Where do you see this all heading, and how can we ensure safeguards? What about bad actors, as novelized in the Daniel Suarez's Daemon book?
Just wondering where he'll pull the 100 million dollars needed to run these days...what do professors make these days? But he's fundamentally right that it's rigged or a game for misogynistic millionaires!
I'm an ex-Resource Action employee of IBM, though I got taken off the list through Herculean effort 5 years ago. Only 2 out of the 10,000 targeted for that RA got taken off, me and a guy up in the Northeast who should never have been on the list. I dumped all my IBM stock at $212, laughing all the way to the bank. Why anyone would work for this miserable excuse for a company is beyond me. There are still a few people there that are good, though most got the axe years ago.
All IBM represents anymore is an overpriced vendor that has overpaid consultants flogging less than useful software and tools, IMHO. It's just a shame that a great company was destroyed by executive greed and board malfeasance. Time for anyone good to dump these morons and get on with their lives.
Yep, that's why it's such a big problem. I have FIOS as my ISV, and there's nothing that can be done. I'd dump them, and have complained, but they are probably the only realistic game in town. I think I can get a point to point microwave ISP, and used to use them in the early days of broadband, but don't even know if they're still in business following the FIOS blitz in our area.
Unless Verizon stops this abhorrent practice, we're all being tracked and sold to the highest bidder. Thank about it.
Why'd you dump your last girlfriend then?

You mean "indentured servants" rather than H1B visa holders.
Anyone still working at Big Blue is a fool! Anyone worth a damn left 10 years ago. I would not recommend them to any young workers, as it sucks.
"I can here him barking." Seems like that's not too far away. Should make some interesting robocalls!

It's Mr. Fusion all over again!!! Still need gas though!

They'll need to factor this into their calculations now...
