"APK is kinda right... I've given up on JS based adblocking and gone to blackholing in
/etc/hosts, just like it was back in the 90s. The computational load has gotten intolerable for any ad-blocking using JS. I've tried his hosts file generating software. It works." - by bmo (77928) on Thursday October 15, 2015 @11:30AM (#50736071)"his hosts tool is actually useful for those cases in which one does indeed want to locally block stuff outright while consuming minimum system resources" by alexgieg (948359) on Friday September 25, 2015 @09:57AM (#50596461)

You tried using Computer Associates another antivirus I turned over on false positives (1/8 over time) & they were caught in ACCOUNTING SCANDALS FRAUD http://www.bing.com/search?q=c...
Reputable source (not): They had to sell off their PC security suite too (crap also) LOWERING the 'threat level' on THAT program (not my hosts file engine) TO ZERO!
* YOU ARE WRONG ON EVERY ACCOUNT NOTED!

"No complaints from me, I like APK's spam. Reminds me to use a host file. Also, his stuff is free." - by aaaaaaargh! (1150173) on Tuesday November 17, 2015 @09:31AM (#50947415)
See subject: Hosts do FAR more for FAR less resource consumption adding more speed, security, reliability & anonymity than ANY other single "so-called 'solution'" out there, bar-none, using something you already HAVE, natively... in combination w/ firewalls & patching + other layered security methods -> http://www.bing.com/search?q=%... (via my layered security guides for example)?
* You can't lose & will surf safer AND FASTER (unlike other security methods that actually slow you OR consume resources like there's no tomorrow + yes - HOSTS ARE FASTER than browser addons like "AlmostALLAdsBlocked" -> http://superuser.com/questions... largely due to less complexity & messagepassing, cpu, ram, & other forms of I/O overheads with them running in usermode vs. hosts in more cpu serviced kernelmode as part of the IP stack itself...)

You tried using Computer Associates another antivirus I turned over on false positives (1/8 over time) & they were caught in ACCOUNTING SCANDALS FRAUD http://www.bing.com/search?q=c...
Reputable source (not): They had to sell off their PC security suite too (crap fraud also) LOWERING the 'threat level' on THAT program (not my hosts file engine) TO ZERO!
* YOU ARE WRONG ON EVERY ACCOUNT NOTED!
APK
P.S.=> To be continued in part #4/4... apk
-
Too bad I won there too Khyber... apk
That's based on Computer Associates' bs (acc'ting fraud scandal, real reputable source (not)-> http://www.bing.com/search?q=c... ) & on an app for running programs in the background invisibly (that had its threat level lowered to ZERO/no threat) in the end.
Plus, CA had to SELL OFF their pc security suite too - it was SO BAD it was chewing up emails like mad falsely marking them as "threats" in 1 place I worked in circa 2007-2008 (they removed it & strangely SOLD IT too, lol!). Not a good sign when the shoemaker's children WON'T WEAR HIS SHOES!
* That's only 1/8 antivirus program I've done that with on 2-3 programs since 2003 or so...
(Your "experts" aren't so expert & often have to KNEEL to me in the end, every single time...)
APK
P.S.=> LOL, you'll TRY ANYTHING, won't you? No biggie - I just crush you @ every single turn everytime you do... apk

Reputable source (not): They had to sell off their PC security suite too (crap fraud also) LOWERING the 'threat level' on THAT program (not my hosts file engine) TO ZERO!
* YOU ARE WRONG ON EVERY ACCOUNT NOTED!
APK
P.S.=> To be continued in part #4/5... apk
