The mainstream media has been on a mission to smear Trump with numerous salacious accusations from women that claim Trump sexually assaulted them.

It has now emerged that one of the women – Jessica Leeds – who waited 35 years before making her accusations public – has a history of conflict and a clear vendetta against Trump.

A New York Daily News article from October 2007 reveals how Leeds was locked in a dispute with Trump over trees that were erected on a golf course owned by Trump in Rancho Palos Verdes, California.

Another story out of the L.A. Times from October 2008 reveals how Leeds was also embroiled in a dispute with Trump over a fence outside her house that Trump claimed was on his property.

“If the Palos Verdes Jessica Leeds is the same Jessica Leeds in the New York Times accusations, it certainly raises the question of an undisclosed personal motive, anger over the past, and/or a probable axe-to-grind,” reports the Conservative Treehouse.

Besides, moderators are surprisingly fair - I have gone against the grain plenty of times, and extremely often these reached +4 or +5.

Though I've had seen my Karma drop into "Negative" from coordinated attacks a couple of times, my account was also generally in the "Excellent" area. I too am a fan of /.'s moderation system — as far as the non-sentient systems go, it is the best I've encountered. (And, as Facebook and Twitter fiascos show, sentience-based systems can be worse.)

Remember, the republicans chose as their presidential nominee a man who claims that global warming is a hoax perpetuated by China to weaken our economy. These people have their heads so far up the rectums of the fossil fuel industry that they blather on about a "war on coal" and jumped Hillary's case when she talked about shutting down coal plants... not even for renewables, but for other fossil fuels (natural gas) that burn cleaner. They're so damned convinced that there are no repercussions to burning fossil fuels and dumping carbon into the atmosphere, so totally self-assured that there is no such thing as climate change, that even replacing the worst and dirtiest fossil fuel of them all with another fossil fuel is a matter of psychotic controversy for them. (Hell. If there's NOT a "war on coal", then there damn well should be!)

And when one of their own had the temerity to point out that even if you're 100% confident in your belief that the global climate has absolutely not changed, is not changing, and never will change, fossil fuels will still eventually run out, and that stubbornly clinging to them is like being "last horse and buggy salesman who was holding out as cars took over the roads" or "the last investor in Blockbuster as Netflix emerged"... when Arnold Schwarzenegger broke it down into pure, cold-blooded, capitalism snd pointed out that there is a lot of money to be made and a lot of jobs to be had in renewables and they've been great for California's economy (Now having nudged out France to become the 6th largest in the world... they branded him a traitor and have all but totally disavowed him.

The climate change deniers and fossil fuel fanboys are not rational actors, and they're not acting in good faith. Sadly, I think the only real thing to do is to wait for them to be demographiced out. And we'll just have to hope that, once their successors have taken power and cast them aside, it's not too late to repair the damage going forward from there.

Kate Grace won the 800m Women's Final trial in a crazy finish a few weeks ago and became an Olympian for the first time. Her sponsor Oiselle posted pictures afterwards congratulating her on Instagram and their website. They were threatened by the US Olympic Committee to remove all posts and pictures of her, their own athlete. Needless to say they and her boyfriend were not happy about this. But since he was not a sponsor he re-posted the "offending" Instagram picture. After a while (and maybe some media backlash) they were allowed to post "compliant" pictures of her win. Effectively they had to censor out any logos relating to the US Olympic trials or Olympics.

Actually, the DNC has a contractual and fiduciary responsibility to stay neutral in a primary, because they sign contracts to that affect.

You've got to be kidding if you think switching on WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger give you more privacy. All it does is change who is doing the spying. Skype is Microsoft which seems to be cozy with the government. Facebook doesn't seem as cozy with the government in public, but I think that is probably all show anyways.

However, Facebook's apps are designed to be spyware, while Skype isn't last I checked. How is installing Spyware more private than non-spyware?

With Windows 10 and patches to earlier operating systems, Microsoft entered the spyware business big time. Maybe the Skype app is spyware now too, I haven't seen anything posted on that? Microsoft has always been cozy with the government like the daily scans for NSA provided keywords on all Microsoft OSes, but this move to being more like Facebook and Google has been more recent.

Think tanks exist to gloss political ideologies and state policies with an intellectual veneer, bestowing such with the appearance of "scientific" or "rational" authority.
