Re:Unethical
I, for one, would be interested in finding Al Gore's home phone number and leaking that.
I, for one, want to know what it is you have against Al Gore that you'd take such such action against him, over the hundreds of millions of others you could have targetted. I mean really, is Al Gore a worse person than George Bush, or Bill Clinton, or Anne Coulter or Michael Moore? Or Henry Kissinger? Or the Pope? I figure if you want to start sending crank calls to people there are lots more deserving than big Al who seems like a pretty decent guy to me. I mean he actually did open the way for the internet to blossom, he genuinely cares about the fate of the world, and he's on the board of Apple. How bad can he be? He's not Donald Rumsfeld after all, he actually comes across as a human being. -

I knew someone would miss it! That was part of the fun. See:

a cheesy spoof of the James Bond genre movies of the 60's. The 'Canadian Secret Service' plays a pivotal role... -

it gets worse!
Movie tie in games almost always suck because...well...movie people aren't game people and they certainly don't hire game people. Disney has done way better than anyone in the past with that cuz they at least give it a decent try and umm...Kingdom Hearts rocks lol. But guess what! In 2010 guess what's coming out for movies! Splinter Cell the movie, Devil May Cry the movie, and Onimusha the movie. I kid you not http://imdb.com/List?year=2010&&tv=on&&nav=/Secti

Re:Sounds fine
They are minors, and minors don't particularly need to be playing offensive games. If their parents don't have a problem with it, then the parent can easily purchase the game for their child.
There's a huge difference between "minors don't particularly need X" and "we need the government to prevent children from getting X with legislation and regulation!"
Minors don't particularly need to be seeing movies like Kids either, but there's no push for laws to regulate the movie/theater industry. They self-regulate instead. -

Re:Notnooz
But we've had home automation since at least 1984! There were a few bugs in the system (unexpected sentience, etc.) back then, but I'm sure they could have been sorted out by now.

Re:Its not climate change...
...by ensuring that you can't pass this idea or genes on to your offspring, we reduce the amount of people who no longer want to breed. And even if they do manage to convince someone else, then we're still weeding out the "bad" genes. Give humanity a few thousand years, and the whole "stop breeding" thing will be completely weeded out. Natural selection, and all that.
Ideas don't get passed down, only genes. When you say that there is "something fundamentally wrong" you are referring to "wrong" from a natural selection viewpoint; not necessarily from a moral standpoint.
Unfortunately, I happen to agree with you. There's a very interesting cimegraphic take on what happens when a segment of the population takes themselves out of the gene pool here. -

Re:isn't the world in denial ?It's not so much a matter of panicking, I think. It's more of rethinking how important do people think national borders really are. Land has been disputed for ages in civilized and uncivilized countries as well, causing millions to die or to be displaced. Now, it seems that a lot of land will be lost to sea, affecting both rich and poor nations.
Even if not much else changes, and I'm thinking of disaster movie scenarios, there is going to be a lot of cold(er) water where before there were cities. As the battle against tides becomes obviously a waste of time and resources, there may be a lot of places where there's just not enough land to try carry on business as usual. if/When that time comes, I'm curious to see if sleeping regional conflicts will be more a priority over the emergency displacement of thousands of people.

trade with information about you
I wouldn't be surprised if the information collected is being sold to various agencies by the Americans
...I assume that by "Americans" you mean "US government agencies".
As we have opportunity to read for example this: DHS Gets Another "F" In Cyber Security, I have to point out that such information will be (if not alredy is) available also to non-government and non-US and also non-agencies.
Some people said/wrote, that privacy is alredy dead so the solution would be for everybody to be able to wach everybody else. Such solution would also include ability of ordinary people to watch police, of course. Not like now, where police can watch anybody but nobody can watch police - see Enemy of the State, quote at the end: "and who is going to watch the watchers of watchers
...?". -
Re:This is not censorship.
That's a poor analogy. It would be like Domino's pizza objecting to a movie that glorified the two kids who went on a rampage at that school. And I would fully expect that such a movie would be pulled from such a competition. You are obviously ignoring the Elephant in the room and the awards it recieved. http://imdb.com/title/tt0363589/ http://imdb.com/title/tt0363589/awards This may suprise you, but valid artistic works that deal with tragedies and otherwise distasteful events get made all the time, and are often good enough to get awards.

Re:Price to high
Is it the world where Spiderman's Gwen Stacy is still alive?
Also known as the world of the Spiderman movies. You know, the world where MJ is the one thrown from the bridge BUT survives, and they don't get to Gwen until the third movie.

Re:Zero Point Thinking: Change Now!
There is a concept called Zero Point Thinking, which basically says "Knowing what I know now, if I had to start over which way would I do it?".
When you have the answer to that you should head in that direction as quickly as possible since much of your efforts in your current direction will be wasted when you do finally switch.
Clearly, you haven't watched the opening scene of Office Space closely enough. -

Or just an augmented reality display. Picture yourself moving it around like it's the Polaroid from The Lost Room . It's going to have to have GPS in it anyway for E911.
I wonder if it is too late to get it in for product placement in 24. -

Re:Don't count on the "recent change in Congress".
In this case, a national identity plus fingerprints could be a good thing. You could easily prove you are not that other person by matching your fingerprints up to those of your id.
Unless the data-entry error caused the wrong ID to be associated with his set of fingerprints.
Brazil should be mandatory viewing for anyone discussing the creation of a police-state based on databases. -

Why is this necessary?
How are these shows substantially different or improved from Nova ScienceNOW and Scientific American Frontiers? (Speaking of which, having Alan Alda as the host of that show made it palatable for some older people who wouldn't otherwise look at science stories.)
If they really want a new show, they need a resurrection of Newton's Apple, and target younger audiences. For that matter, they should resurrect 3-2-1 Contact, too. If they need to find a free slot, they could get rid of Cyberchase, one of the lamest shows pretending to be educational I've seen, besides some emo girl clown sitting on a couch. -

Re:Hilarious
that this info will be shared with other countries does imply that other countries have a certain interest in the prints of their citizens
Well, technically, it only means that the US has an interest in sharing it with other countries.
I have the hunch that the next fashion fad for privacy concerned people will be gloves.
What for? If you already have a trail of FBI against dusting and fingerprinting everything you touch, it's probably a bit late to start worrying about privacy, no? Sunglasses and trenchcoat would make more sense, but even that works against it's purpose, as everybody would assume you are a flasher.
A more serious suggestion would be to not carry a cell-phone, and to use cash instead of cards. But in reality, the only realistic way to make sure your privacy is respected, is through political influence. It's by fighting against initiatives like this that privacy will get respected again, not by living like the citizens of Gattaca

A private police force is an unnecessary danger. As long as businesses are able to be corrupt, so can a privatized police force (more so than existing ones). -

Jewish pedophiles delete GNAA article fromWikipedoJewish pedophiles delete GNAA article from Wikipedia
Drake - Nigeria, Weekly GayzetteThe nuts of wikipedos worldwide were ruptured with pleasure today, as the GNAA article was deleted. Due to the rampant amount of homophobic nigger-hate circulating through Wikipedo, the GNAA article was put up for yet another vote for deletion [read as very fat dick] today, its 18th nomination. However, unlike the other 17 consecutive failures, the article was deleted this time.
The articles lengthy and vastly homosexual existence was cut short today when, after being nominated for less than 24 hours, it was deleted by zionist government officials [see: wikipedia editors]. The irony in this comes in the form of the fact that it is written in a certain section of the Talmud [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Deletion_p olicy], that an article must remain up for deletion for a minimum of 5 days for discussion and debate purposes before any deletion.
The jew who commenced final delete operation was Andrew J. "Tawker" W[name deleted to protect privacy], a teenage Wikipedo residing in Shithole, Canada and attending a public college together with 16000 other unwashed Canucks.
When asked his opinion on the situation, GNAA president timecop remarked, "lol drama." Truer words have never been spoken, as much lol-inducing drama, and most likely multiple jew lynchings and anallingus seminars will come in the following days.
Want to do your part? Well then, you can either follow the Undeletion request process (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Undeletion _policy.), or you can do your best to continue ruining Wikipedo, preferably the second.

Re:rings a bell
Clever answer, I might quote myself from a previous post. I said that before, and I think more people is just getting conscious. US has to look forward to keep talent here and spend money on the talent instead of war. Wasting the money on war would leave the country in an absolute idiocracy
