The religious right would list a hundred additional things in mainstream video games that it finds just as offensive as a bit of gratuitous cleavage, but the left is either supportive or indifferent to all of them, so they stay in.

Now hopefully there will be another outbreak of common sense and they'll actually do some quality control instead, so we don't have a situation where indie games are selling better on a Nintendo console of all things than on PC because it's almost impossible to find good new games on Steam among the flood of terrible, low effort games slapped together with a few pre-made game assets.

Makes claims, shows no evidence. After boolean, and random searching on google, bing, and DDG I can't find any proof that they've banned anyone. Hell that's counter to their own mission statement -- that uses should be proactive in blocking things they don't like. On top of that that the only thing I can find about anything being banned has to do with Gab.ai being forced by their registar(.ai), into deleting someone's dank post because the registar didn't like it.

With the registrar violating their own ToS stating that the the parties have to be given 15 days notice(ai gave them 48hrs). And now they're looking at a new registrar and using blockchain.

How soon before we see a "purge" like what his happening now at Youtube with all conservative content? Censorship is running rampant on Youtube with videos AND comments being deleted outright. And by the way, if you equate conservative content with the Alt-right or Nazis; then go to hell. And the same applies if you deny it happening or justify it.

I'm an adult, and I can decide for myself what to watch or what not to watch. Something that evil-doing Google seems to have lost grasp of. One of the "big name" people who claimed Gamergate=harassment engaging in harassment. Her organization engaging in targeted harassment, media gives no shits because it doesn't fit the narrative. People directly linked to her organization engage in doxing and harassment. Just remember it's okay when one ideology does it, but only one. Also remember existing is harassment. Yeah here's the problem. Let's look at a site like neogaf, ever wonder why at one time it was the place to go and developers would post there and people would leak information. And now developers don't? Active participation is down? It was the moderation as you pointed out, but let's look at their definition of a troll, which basically boils down to "anyone who doesn't subscribe to the narrative." Let's look now, at what will get you banned. Have a contrary view of feminism? Banned. Support some ideas of a MRA? Banned. Have differing view points on global warming? Banned. Prefer the xbox vs playstation? Likely banned. Don't like your vidya characters to look like they were hit with a bat? Banned.

The problem is in many cases, moderators especially in this day and age use that as a form of power projection. A good example of this is /r/politics or /r/canadapolitics where you have moderators who ban people for pointing out factual information because it goes against the prevailing group think. I ran a BBS in my teens, and it got large enough that I was considering applying for a regional fido:net hub. At nearly 700 people and 4 nodes, I picked moderators for my forums who weren't assholes, who usually worked, and if they stepped over the line they were given one warning then booted. As sysop, I expected my mods to be impartial. And if a friend was involved to pass the issue to another mod to deal with. I ran on Renegade.

Not quite true. People there weren't harassing people, nor were they doxing them. There was a non-doxing/harassment rule like on most subs. What's interesting is that members of the /r/pizzagate mod team have claimed that the administration were unbanning people, who were being banned by the subs mods. Those people who were being banned included those who were doxing, and posting CP. On top of this, that subreddit had already broken open a massive CP ring on twitter. Last count ~7000(I've seen numbers as high at 14k) or more accounts. Twitter's response so far has been to ban the people who found the accounts. Some of those CP accounts have been banned but most have not.

This entire thing stinks. On top of that with Spez deciding to pull this bullshit, they've also likely lost their safe harbor provisions. On top of that, toss in the absolutely weird shit in the podesta emails, including wording that seems to indicate some kind of pedophile stuff going on? They may have found something, they might not have. But reddit turning around and banning the sub is going to toss more fuel on the fire.

I guess that's why organizations like CON(which is supported by Feminist Frequency) are still on Twitter's "trust and safety council" right? Despite that they've actively harassed and doxed people. And then we can get into the various verified accounts which openly call for violence, doxing, and harassment...but don't get a slap on the wrist at all.
