Hmm. I'm on Google search page 40 and there's been only one mention of how cell phone radiation may make rats more susceptible to the "ooh, shiny..." phenomenon. I did however manage to find articles on:

• How the cell phone is driving health IT innovation in the developing world
• How mobile phones are the most cherished thing to come out of the Iraq war
• Stanford has a mobile phone orchestra
• 20 Ways to tweet on my mobile
• Someone is making a rather disturbing "When cell phones attack..." type movie.
• They make cell phones for your pet

I'm not dismissing you entirely but if you're going to make specific claims it'd be a good idea to include citations. Doing a more specific search will net a number of hits but the best you can say from them is that a number of groups are looking at the subject and while some preliminary results are in with some very vocal advocates, there are conflicting data and definitely no consensus.

P.S. you must have a pretty sucky search engine as I got 387,000,000 results.

Air travel will be very pleasant if the "in-flight cellular officer" is one of these guys, as I trust them to keep cellphone use to a tolerable level.

More people on cell-phones. Hopefully next they'll get the cell-phone to work on the subway too so I'll be sure to enjoy the maximum amount of other people's annoying conversations.
Did'ya ever notice that some people talk LOUDER on their cell-phones than they normally would? What is the deal with that?

Personally I find it much more fun to take care of annoying cellular user the Old Fashioned way.

Sometimes I go out on Friday nights and get into cell-phone-smashing contests with drunk people.

As for something on-topic to prevent this from being moderated straight to hell, I think that Americans have a blindly optimistic view of technology because most Americans are too dumb to avoid that idea of utopianism from technology that good old Walt Disney got trapped in. Sure, tech makes people's lives better, but what the hell was so wrong with the way things went before this? (And before that, and before THAT, etc...) The truth is that new technology simply is meant to help people muddle through some problem that we caused anyway, only to possibly create more problems for new tech to solve.

Problem: Lots of broken glass, sharp metal, and hard concrete on the ground from our expanding society
Solution: Sneakers
New Problem: 10 year old kids in Asia are making sneakers for 10 cents a day.

Problem: Need portable communication
Solution: Cell phones
New Problem: Cell phones might cause brain cancer.
Extra Credit Problem: Phonebashing.

Problem: Businesses need machines to do calculations, generate reports, and play solitaire
Solution: The computer
New Problem: Y2K.
