Re:"Movie-Quality"
You seem to forget that those funny fuzzy animal movies are only marketing tools for the related computer games and McDonalds toys. The games are about the same in terms of look as the movies themselves because they're often based on movie assets.
For example, see an interview with the Avatar game developers where they talk about getting the models from Lightstorm Entertainment (who were responsible for the movie graphics).

Missing a few games...
This latest follows on the heels of Pac-Man: CE, a worthy and well-received updating of the arcade classic.
Since Pac-Man CE has come out, we have seen Catan, Band of Bugs, and Carcassonne, all excellent strategy games which are well-worth the mention. Pac-Man CE was pretty good, yes, but these three games shored up a gap in a very under-represented genre on XBLA. -

Re:Take Two Wins; Consumer is ultimate loser
Interesting thing about these games, is that there's not a single non-MLB licensed baseball game available for the GC.
Actually, there WILL be a non-licensed baseball game on the Gamecube . . . Mario Baseball. Scheduled for 2005 release, so along with the previous mention of Nintendo First Party developed Pennant Chase Baseball and Take-Two's title, that makes 3 baseball games for the Gamecube (down from the previously mentioned 5).
Not bad considering the "Exclusivity Agreement" in place. -

Even better -- gamplay movieNot to mention a gameplay movie at FilePlanet, IGN, Tiscali Games, or WorthPlaying.
Personally I don't see the big whoop. Although I hope I'm still alive when the gameplay itself has graphics like that of the cinematics in these game movies. Remember the trailer at the beginning of Quake 3: Arena? I nearly shite myself a the thought of gameplay someday being that detailed and intense. Will it ever?
