There are Federal and State laws that cover notifications of a data breach (Federal doesn't have generic breach rules that I know of, but some laws such as HIPPA have such requirements). Day before yesterday I'd opined in a thread on gizmodo (in response to someone saying that the 2nd Amendment wasn't written in an era of machine guns and assault weapons, and thus this meant they didn't apply) that the 1st Amendment was ALSO written in an era before telephone, radio, email, facebook, etc so all those should, by the same logic, no longer be covered by freedom of speech.

Within 24 hours I had twelve (ostensibly) different people tell me "KILL YOURSELF" with various colorful adjectives and descriptions. One then looked up my username, and in 6 other (irrelevant) threads where I'd posted variously about cars, Superhero movies, etc he (?) proceeded to post repeated replies to those posts of "KILL YOURSELF".

It's a training problem. Run-away trim (which an MCAS malfunction essentially is) can be fixed by hitting the auto-trim cut-out. There's a video about the issue on the 737 Classic (which is before the 737 NG and the 737 MAX). At the same time, Boeing should have told pilots that MCAS will move the trim automatically, and will progressively move the trim more and more dramatically each time it activates. However, the pilots should have known that there was a trim problem (because they were fixing the problem by moving the trim up only to have the system push it back down), and turn off auto-trim.

You don't have to pay Apple's prices to upgrade RAM, you can buy the chips yourself. The process to get to the ram slots is somewhat involved, but you can also just have Apple install the ram you bring them.

The thing is the RAM the iMac Pro uses is not cheap (2666MHz DDR4 ECC / PC4-21300), so you'll be paying a lot regardless of the path you take. For instance an iFixit RAM upgrade kit to 128GB is $2,000.00. To reach 265GB you'll need four 64GB memory chips... and probably best not to use the cheapest ones. Crucial does not even list chips that will work with the iMac Pro...
