I've been at it an hour and can't find out a way to get back where I was reading. Other than pressing the "Many more" button a few hundred times and having a really long page.... This site has always been confusing for me to navigate.
Are we the only ones that read the blog 'backwards'?
Seriously, is it a wiki? How else to explain this bit of SCOTUS trivia:
Recent broadcast indecency cases involving the brief display of Janet Jackson’s breast at the Super Bowl and the use of the F-word by Sonny Bono and Nicole Richie at the Billboard Music awards...
Read the article, they were free and trying to monetize the collected bookmark data. A number of responses to the blog post suggest willingness to pay... but they never approached the users before deciding to close up shop. A shame.
Firefox 4 comes with one built in, there's an extension for Firefox 3:
Just got a Lenovo S12. It only came with XP, but that was gone within a day. Running Ubuntu 9.04 on it and it's awesome!
I wanted to buy a netbook with Linux already on it, but they were few and far between. Dell sold their Ubuntu and XP for the same price.... and it was an older version of Ubuntu.. so I made sure that Ubuntu ran well on the S12 and I've been a happy camper.
I'm with both of you all the way.
But, I don't have a feel for your thoughts on this ability to 'charge you with something.' Look what Cambridge, MA just went through. Is it a good thing? Bad?
I think it's a good thing. Cops have to treat everyone with suspicion. It's part of their job. If they get a bad feeling, I'd like a bit of judgment to always enter the decision to arrest. I'm all for sticking it to 'the man,' but this particular cop that you're interacting with is an individual.
For now, I run Linux.... and just don't worry about viruses. Stay away from the dominant platform of users and you're ok.
I sure do hope when Linux gets the majority, as I think it will, that we can keep the operating system up to date as fast as I see virus programs update their data.
I like the idea. They'd then protest that it would adversely affect investigations. And they'd be right.
My worry with open-to-all cameras aimed at the public is that while the police might not use them effectively, who would?
I'm now videotaped entering both my pharmacy as well as the local grocery stores. They make it obvious with a LCD above the breezeway door. That's not on the internet live. Yet.
I completely agree on this idea. Not sure if that is the way to implement it, but every time I have to give $30 to a cellular phone company so I can charge the phone in my car I think the same thing.
Check this out on youtube. Six parts, but very well done with a good answer.

I agree, nothing of value added with these icons. Learned that from Security Now, with Steve Gibson.

I agree that the headline and snippet are unclear.
Yep, this was the time of '78s. My wife just recorded a song 'Put the blame on Mame' that was based on the '78 recording. Great stuff!
sigh...

Sonny Bono? Really?

I'd say she probably is happy it isn't as complex and she can just poke around for a few minutes a day and be done with it.
Then, on the http site, explain that for better privacy they can switch to https. Make simple and explain what the warning screens will mean.

I'll use it, but not being cross browser may leave some people without a good option.
In the blog post they do talk about how they tried to monetize this data. Nothing proved to make a profit...
Go Ford!
Had a 1969 Mustang Grande... just saying.

This runs youtube without problems.
Credit to the French.
You've also got a wide range of magical appreciation. ;-)

Heck, most people didn't even have colored TVs at that time.
I don't mean to be overly PC, but these days most prefer African-American TV.
Awesome!
