Almost every distro has huge threads of people trying to fix their Linux desktop to have at least some imitation of the polish and functionality that OS X does.
"Unlike the fellow above, I actually hope Sony is not paying you, because I would hope they'd get more for their money than a list of "Untitled" exclusives..."
"I think I should point out that the Atari Jaguar had at least that many titles in their "under development" list at one point. "
No it didn't.
And that list is not "PS3 titles under development", it is the confirmed by publishers exclusive titles currently in development. The total number of PS3 titles exclusive + crossplatform would be gigantic.
NPD has the 360 at 2.7 million in the US as the end of October. Media Create has the 360 at 170k in Japan by the same time. Things don't look very good in Europe, though not as bad as Japan - the total shipments to all of Europe most likely put the 360 in the 1.2 million range. Throw in a handful from various minor territories.
Going into the November the 360 has sold about 6 million shipped and 4.5 sold million worldwide.
That's worse than the first Xbox. And even worse than the Dreamcast's first year.
Given that the father of the 100+ million Playstation and 105+ million PS2 console was just promoted to President and Group COO of the entire SCE Group and is now the boss of Kaz...
PS3s are snapped up the second they hit stores shelves, eBay prices continue to very high for the system, gamers are raving about these epic 40 player lagfree free online Resistance matches, going nuts over the Motorstorm demo, the reviews of the PS3's BluRay features and playback are absolutely gushing and calling it the best player on the market, none of the massive hardware failures people were claiming would plague the system like the 360 have come to pass.
And Zonk continues his one man crusade against the PS3. What exactly is the point? Because whatever it is it clearly isn't working.

The Playstation had a ten year life. And the PS2 is six years into its life and still going very strong and will most likely last as long as the first Playstation.
It is hard to imagine the Wii still selling well four or five years from now.
"Our recent study on "next-gen purchase intent" showed that the PS3 enjoys the highest future purchase intent of all three systems."
"Our purchase intent study shows that immediate purchase intent for the 360 is pretty low, while a good portion of those interested in purchasing a 360 are waiting for a price drop. Microsoft may have tapped out that less price sensitive early adopter portion of the market."
"the Wii has the lowest level of awareness of the three systems, but a similar level of future purchase intent as the 360"
"Us"??? Some random fanboy posting AC on Slashdot. Who cares what you believe.
Amazon and Target have already received the first restock of PS3s on Saturday and various brick and mortar stores are saying Tuesday or Wednesday is when they are receiving their next batches.
Sony has stated 400k units were in the initial US launch shipment. And just a day or two ago they stated they have 600k units that are starting to be air shipped to the US at a rate of some 100k a week. The first units of the second wave of PS3s is supposed to be in stores in the next day or two.
That obviously will put the PS3 near one million in the US around the end of December.
Oh come on. There were roughly the same number of Wiis put up on eBay as there were PS3s over this past week. And there are more Wiis than PS3s up on eBay as of this morning. There were about twice as many Wiis shipped as PS3s. There are hundreds of thousands of PS3s out there being played for the past few days. Massive numbers of people are online playing Resistance and huge numbers of people are all banging on the machine installing Linux and compiling/running Linux apps. The PS3 has had an extremely trouble free launch.
However, the console discussion boards are filled with people having a large variety of Wii problems. Like other people have stated, the Wii problems are nowhere near as bad as the 360 a year ago.
Who needs to read and comprehend the source material when you have a huge special effects budget...
Uh, fanboy I just called that Frys and they have nothing but expensive PS3 bundles for sale.
But they did have plenty of Wiis when asked...
"As in big deal? That's all a desktop is. "

Oh please...
Linux forums all over the Net have Linux users desperately trying to get their system to look and function as well as OS X - just one example:

Almost every distro has huge threads of people trying to fix their Linux desktop to have at least some imitation of the polish and functionality that OS X does.
So, yeah, I guess it is 'a big deal.'
"Unlike the fellow above, I actually hope Sony is not paying you, because I would hope they'd get more for their money than a list of "Untitled" exclusives..."
Fuck off.
"There's not going to be that many games coming out?"
Thanks for setting yourself up for that...

Yeah, fanboys are trying to spin the promotion that way.
Nope, Kutagari is now focusing on PS4 development(and other Cell/Playstation hardware to come), while Kaz is now handling day to day PS3 tasks.
Make that: Going into November the 360 has about 6 million shipped and 4.5 sold million worldwide.
NPD has the 360 at 2.7 million in the US as the end of October.
Media Create has the 360 at 170k in Japan by the same time.

Blah, typo, Kutagari of course.
Given that the father of the 100+ million Playstation and 105+ million PS2 console was just promoted to President and Group COO of the entire SCE Group and is now the boss of Kaz...
Yeah, 'Probably'...
Go fuck yourself you piece of garbage.
Scum like you are the shit on the shoe of the gaming world.
Fished in!
That was too easy.
Thanks.

Just off the top of my head:
Okami
Final Fantasy XII
Guitar Hero II
Bully

Put the tinfoil hat away. Those numbers come straight from Sony exec interviews over the past week.

Let's see, Sony announces 600k more PS3s are about to be shipped to the US. eBay PS3 prices drop.
I wonder if there is some sort of connection...
Sony has stated 400k units were in the initial US launch shipment. And just a day or two ago they stated they have 600k units that are starting to be air shipped to the US at a rate of some 100k a week. The first units of the second wave of PS3s is supposed to be in stores in the next day or two.
