Yeah, but they are leaning more and more towards flash. I remember when the only flash on their site was the audio system (bells, alerts, etc), but now even the meebome widgets are completely flash based.
Unfortunately, as most of you probably already know, flash works in linux, but barely (I have to restart firefox every 5-10 minutes when flash crashes)
I can vouche for that, Pidgin is great and all, but there is just something about kopete that is trully awsome. Maybe it's the smooth animations, the nice chat layout, the configurability or the fact that it has voice+chat (though I've never used them).
I can also say that I am currently using kopete under gnome with no problem what-so-ever. just install kopete and it will add any libraries it needs (I didn't need much since I also use Amarok under gnome)
IANAL, but as I understand it, collecting the information is not what requires a license. The license comes in when you attempt to present this information to the courts.
Basically, the license shows that you have the training required to preserve evidence during it's collection and the responsibility (removal of said license) if the evidence is found to have been tampered with.
99.999% uptime is only 30 SECONDS per YEAR downtime, calculated on a 24x7 year minus maintenance in SLA (but for things like phones it's REALLY 30 seconds per year that you can't get a dial tone)
Wow, I sometimes forget how nice it is to go to a major tech college (BCIT), we have dedicated fiber to and between each campus and I have never seen the speed drop below 500Mb/s. In fact, if you stay there late (1-2am, yes, it happens), you can get upwards of 2-3MB/s (yes, Bytes, not bits)!
Here are BCIT, the only time they ever worry about monitoring is for virus detection (they virus-scan the user folders) and SERIOUS illegal stuff (packet sniffing, internal attacks, DOS, etc.
Actually, if you read the "how to connect to the internet at BCIT, they actually RECOMMEND that you use a VPN connection when using the open wifi (we have an open network, and an WPA2 network).
Then again, this isn't too surprising considering this is both in Canada and from a college that specializes in teaching students how to detect, deal with and even cause these types of traffic.
Following along your analogy of big trucks on the highway. A simple electronic "HOV" lane would be very nice. Take the people that are using very little bandwidth (small car/person) and let them move faster than the trucks (large vehicle for one person).
It's worked great for rush hour traffic, why not electronic traffic?
after I've shooed the salesman away
You must not be familiar with BestBuy...
HAHA, finally a guy being paid more than $5/hour will be forced to come up with an answer!!!
Wait, they let her buy the warranty AFTER it broke?!?
Yeah, until the bestbuy guys try to figure out why all the keyboards and mice have a 1/16" coating of grease on them...
Yes, a "Windows Guru" is a low entry skill, the same was a "Slug Racing Guru" is a low entry skill!
The point is that the robotic probes will be accessible through the internet if you catch my drift ;)

...including moving a 125,000 gallon liquid oxygen tank on the back of a semi.
You'd be better off rear ending a pinto!
I, for one, welcome our new satellite launching, search engine overlords overlords.
There fixed that for you. But seriously, what the hell does Microsoft have to do with Google sending satellites into space?
Perhaps those people can "work from home in their spare time" as phone technical support or other and raise their standard of living.
The last thing we need is tech support being outsourced to yet ANOTHER country that knows even LESS about computers!
well, so much for that

!(there.equals(their) || there.equals(they're) || their.equals(they're))
Not any more, I've stolen his token, so he'll never be able to send another packet again!
My head hurts... Where are foo, bar, and family guy references?

Only a PHB would believe that!
Well, if she runs Linux, i doubt she runs TradElect...
AHA, not only would my waffles no longer be frozen by the time the steaks thawed, but my frozen waffles are on the shelf ABOVE my steaks!
Meh, just challenge it 2^64 times and record the answers!
Yes, but depending on the punishment for doing so, the consequences of the act may outweigh the consequences of being caught!

Wow, sucks to be you buddy!

And yet another example of why we NEED a "-1 too much information" mod!
