ok... just jumping in here to defend trampoline and squash. squash has as much right to be in the olympics as any other raquet sport, and trampoline is akin to gymnastics in a way.
seriously... a sport where it's normal to perform triple flips with three or more twists can't compare to bowling or ballroom dancing.
i don't think quake will ever be in the olympics though. it has to be at least a remotely physical activity to qualify for that.
Sorry...got a "not responding" the first time and assumed the worst.
Anyways. Was surprised to see so many linux browsers. I was under the impression there were far fewer than that. Good to see that they're coming along nicely...maybe there'll be some healthy competetion for Mozilla when it comes out. As it stands now, tho, with all but a handful of those on the having no frame support, i think i'll stick to netscape (untill Mozilla, of course).
Although i am disappointed in GT's failure to put the linux executables in the box, they do have a point...as it stands now, (although this will most likely change soon), it *can be* somewhat tricky for the novice user to get things up and running properly on a linux box, and altho the proposed warning about no tech support for the linux version is a good idea, people are generally bad at reading warnings, etc, and the GT tech support would prob still be hit with a flood of tech support calls...just my opinion tho
As cool as wireless internet access on a palm top is, I don't think it'll cause any increase in productivity for students. Cool to checking news or something, and would be good for email...but IMHO not for too much else.
btw nice sig. always good to see Trent quoted somewhere
ok

my english 12 teacher back in high school handed out a page of bad metaphors/similies which contained all but the last on that list.
wonder if it was the same list these were taken from.

hate to be nit-picky, but you're missing a bracket

from the article
"... MS/DOS and subroutines of the brain can be apprehended by consciousness."
so what does this say about Microsoft?
a play on zero, from the smashing pumpkins, rite?
yeah .. the he/she thing was a typo on my part
so i guess he's the one we blame when we all get cancer from using our cell phones?
: )
couldn't help but notice that that sounds an awful like one of matt damon's monologues in good will hunting
(where he talks about why he turns down a government crypto job)
heh
i laughed out loud when i read that...
the hotmail account is definately the nail in the coffin as far as proving POSO as a low rent scam
heh
i laughed out loud when i read that...

But only with other men, becuase I love gay space sex.

IMHO the two words can be either an insult or a compliment...it all depends on the context they're used, the tone in which said, etc.
A compliment said in a derisive tone becomes an insult.
great post....so true it's scary
heh
good call
