And I skimmed your journal and it's really weird (why didn't you enable comments there?).. I guess you wrote that about yourself, but it might give people the wrong ideas about Israel.
The creatures in B5 are awful.. I've never seen anything like that in any sci-fi show (heck, even the characters from Farscape look better). I hope that for this series, he'll hire some character designers from Star Trek.
The CG effects were bad too, but that's for another comment.

I hope the cell companies would adopt that. It doesn't require Java-enabled phones or email redirection.
Each cellular user will have a preferences page at the cellular provider web page. In that page she can choose if she want to receive all sms messages, or require that a certain key will appear in incoming SMS message.
She can manage a set of keys (a string of characters, or a number), and if someone tries to send her a message without a key in the SMS body, the SMS message will be rejected (and the sender will possibly get an error message).
She can also create a list of origins which can freely send her messages even if they don't have a key, and even set that people who specify the correct key automatically gets added to the list, so they don't have to type the key again.
Well, you forgot about computer DVDs. They pay no attention to the broadcasting method whatsoever, so you can play PAL, NTSC and probably all other methods (SECAM. MESECAM. Anything else?)
OS 9 did support BiDi languages (it supported Hebrew, and probably Arabic too), but OS X doesn't support them, which makes that OS kinda useless for a big part of the world.
And it's a pity. I'd love to have some OS X running... I understood its look n' feel is kinda futuristic.
The animation is nice and drawn nicely, but everything else is bad.. the sound.. the plot.. it's very depressing to look on it. I don't think LucasFilm should have paid attention to that thingie any way.
Oh.. well, I didn't mean that Lindows developers can prevent MS from changing the interfaces. I meant that Lindows developers can adapt themselves to any change MS does, since they are actually getting paid for it.
He was bad and obnoxious. I hated how he shouted "keep me safe" and almost drowned the real kid to death.. obviously he didn't follow the 3 Laws of Robotics - especially the first one: "A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm."
I hated the dumb ending, too. It was so depressing. It made me miss Asimov's stories, and also Data.
http://cambuca.ldhs.cetuc.puc-rio.br/ has a install disk for RH & ReiserFS, I expect you could
use it for recovery.
Thanks, but I tried creating a boot disk from this image, if I'm not mistaken.. the dumb thing won't let me exit the install shell or enter any recovery mode without the CD.
And the problem is that this certain machine had no CD-rom, since it was a virus filtering mail relay.. something very cute that works with f-prot.
Check out today's Joy Of Tech, which celebrates this event.
I hope they port OpenChat, because of the ultra-important anti-addiction feature, which auto-closes the program after an hour of usage. :)
Can it be used to "photo" normal things on earth? I wonder how flowers, buildings or humans would look like when viewed using this sensor.
As you know, in the new IE, Netscape-style plugins are disabled. I guess it's because MS wants everyone to use ActiveX controls instead.
Do Codeweavers intend to try to enable ActiveX execution somehow, too? If so, then it's ok.

Where did you hear about it?
Mac OS can display BiDi correctly (except in the mail program, which still displays them reversed), but you can't type Hebrew or Arabic in it.

Damnit! Who moded me down?? This is so EVIL!!!!! It wasn't offtopic!
I shall haunt you down and destroy you. YEA!
I surely hope your forecast is right... I'd love to see something from microsoft sinking.. they scare me.
The site seems to be very slashdotted. I can't connect to it.. :/
Well, it has a worse problem - region protection. I couldn't find a way to bypass it.

Wut?
Well, unlike Wine, the Lindows developer get paid, and they can easily fight every API change Microsoft tries to make.
I'm so sorry that Windows and Office weren't splitted, and I'm so happy that Lindows is coming. It actually brings tears to my eyes.
In addition, if Lindows succeeds, might inspire other people to create MS-office competitors.
I mean.. like.. duh!
Most of the home users in Israel do pirate software, but businesses do not, as they are afraid of BSA raids.
Dunno were you lived in Israel, but I personally knew only person who pirated cable television, until his parents caught him (that was 8 years ago).

I was begining to think that something is smelly here. :)
Well, Netscape 6 tells me "connection refused". I don't think he has been slashdotted - it's too soon for that, no?
The boot disk or the boot disc?
