    I got a domain and use postfix to run a mail server. Configuration wasn't that bad. Only took a few days to figure out. I'm pretty sure it won't relay from outside as it refuses me when I try to send an e-mail through it from school. Of cource you would need a dedicated IP address...

    Or if you are feeling sadisctic, you could try and configure sendmail...

    Any way, unlimited e-mail with unlimited diskspace that will never go away as long as you own the domain is cool

    I think the idea there was that it was small and only enough to disrupt the grid, not enough to fry things. Except maybe the other cars in the garage he was parked on... At least that's how I interpreted it.

    Yes, but I think the electors would be better at figuring out what the candidates will do. It is their job after all. That is why they are there. They are suposed to know everything about every candidate since the ignorate masses cannot be expected to have enough time to dedicate to such a task.

    Your post, and the parent got me thinking...

    What if we stoped voting for the President. Instead, we take advantage of the elector system that is already in place. The potential electors of each state could come up with a list of issues that they thing are important for choosing a presedent. The ballot would then alow you to state your position on those issues. the electors would then look at what the people wanted a and vote for the presedent who's platform mostly resembled those values.

    Just a thought...

    Naa, just put a unique number on both copies that is in no way tied to the individual, other than that they are holding a copy of it.

    I've noticed IR cameras (I looked at one on a parked car) on top of the cop cars in my area. It proly wouldn't be too hard for the officer inside to look over at that screen and see a big bright spot on your car.

    the problem with that is that a good number of people would think it was talking about Windows Messenger AKA MSN Messenger. They would then say no and not have this setting turned off like it should be.

    Because if you are a true geek you would be constantly fidling with the stuff in it. My antec case was pricy, but it is well worth it when working inside. There is not a single shart edge in it, and having the drive bays snap out comes in real handy.

    But seriously, I see so many people get worked up over one or two year contracts. Why does it matter if you have a contract? Do you plan on changing providers that often? Won't buying a new phone every time get kind of expinsive?

    microwaves. They might claim the the cell phone or TV is on a different (harmless) frequency, but microwaves output the same frequency as wifi.

    There was a device made by belken I think that would basicaly turn one computer into two. You plugged it into usb or something and then pluged a second keyboard, mouse, monitor, and maybe speakers into it. It was around $100 and didn't sell very well.

    We have a DVD player hooked up to the TV in the game room. We wanted to watch a movie in the living room. Rather than dig behind the tv, (and the cable were too short any way) I just plugged it into the front input on the VCR. The picture would jump and flicker every few seconds. Thank you Macrovision...

    I have an internet connection, I have an IP address. Why shouldn't I be able to tell other people my IP address and have them send stuff to it? Just because I'm not paying much? However, I don't expect the same service as you. And that is all you are paying for. Your business line and multible IPs probobly get much better customer service than I would. But that has nothing to do with my conection to the net or the net connecting to me.

    Ok, the black ink is $9 but how much ink is in there? Maybe enough for 200 pages? How about the color? $21 for what 100 pages? The black is in line with the cost of HP's new cartridges, but the color is much more expensive. And in a year or 2, the HP would still be working, and you will be replacing your dead canon.

    sombody hasn't been to a computer store in a while... The latest From HP and others are based on their latest printers. And since when is 1200 dpi a crappy scanner? As far as copying, well, it's not laser, but you do get color if you need it.
