agreed, but not for the obvious reason...
at 15 euros per visitor
and 40 visitors per group
and ~ 10 gps per day
and ~ 300 operating days per year
it will take 150+ yrs to recoup their investment...
- book your tickets now before they do the math and jack up the price to 15 euros/minute. Galileo would shake his head...

Ok, IANAEE but I started doing this, 75 Baud was breakneck speed.
first - the bandwidth limit is not measured in bps it was measured in Baud, (then the term Symbol Rate which never caught on).
Baud is the number of times an analog signal can change state per second.
People have been exchanging bps and baud since the beginning when the bps rate was equal to the baud rate.
ie 300 (digital) bits per second sent on an (analog) line using 300 Baud, the digital throughput was the same as the analog speed.
This was only true when 300 bps was "breakneck speed".
In contemporary standards there are upwards of 8 bps encoded into every Baud, so higher throughputs are squeezed through the line.
Second - the "limit" is based on three things, signal/noise ratio, available B/W on the line, and quantization noise.
The available B/W was set by Shannons law (1937) at 2400 Baud (on an analog line). Things have changed...
Like digital infrastructure. When using *DSL, rates in the MBaud range are routine.
Sorry I've got a thing about bps and Baud, I couldn't stop myself.
since it's not about the customer, it all about John Malone - http://www.businessweek.com/1998/39/b3597046.htm
FToA - As for the TV viewer, says Davis, Malone couldn't care less: Better service and more channels meant higher costs, and if he spent more on existing subscribers, he would have to slow his march to build America's largest cable empire. ''The trick,'' Davis writes, ''was to never give the public what it wanted.''

Luke, I am your father, and these are not the channels you're looking for.
They only have to get to the Altara nebula before Khan fires the genesis device.
But sadly the Klingon's will poke their eyes out in the next movie.

chest congestion is the least of your problems if you're "breathing" dust on the surface of the moon?
IANAA (I am not an astronaut) but maybe they could use the "vacuum" to loose the dust, or use an Andromeda Strainer.
You're either for us or agin' us.
er, a, put em on the 'terrerest' watch list
If we leave now, they win, then they's a gonna hurt our people.
They's plenny smart too but so's us.
hehehe
The power company down the road does this - sort of.
During off-peak they pump water from lake Ontario to their (elevated) lagoon.
During peak hours they open the dam and generate extra hydro-electric power to meet increased demand.
-And repeat-
(All the good ideas are already used).

For those of us who didn't stay at the Holiday Inn Express last night - what is the the "Apollo for diamonds argument"?
People are going to bring up the tired "appolo for diamonds" argument but it doesn't have any bearing on this.
Driving are reducing the time available for the cancer to metastasize before a fatal car crash - skewing the results.
Just go to the bank and pay for it with US $ since $40.00 US is only $39.04 CAN. Finally my full package chequing account pays off!
else on facebook is doing. Trying to collect the most friends. Wait until some kid tells them about the de-friend button. Chairs will be flying.

3300 hz ought to be enough for anyone.
