*) DNS via UDP is weird. It seems the D-Link is actively intercepting DNS traffic from NAT:ed hosts to _external_ hosts, inserting its own data in the replies. I've tested this extensively, and reported it do D-Link. It boils down to you getting correct data over dig +tcp but not via UDP.
*) My WAP has software v1.20b while on the web D-Link lists v1.12 as being the latest.
The Xbox is the only console that's as PC-like as you seem to think the PS2 and GC are. The PS2 is _nothing_ like a PC, and the GC is no mini-apple at all.
The error rate that Charles obtained for his 100kph run stabilized quite consistently at about 4.2% (he also took tyre wear into account, actual computed error was 5.8% but tyre wear was calculated to contribute about 1.6% out of this total rate).
You could well have been tricked by the fact that the police regularly give you a "rebate" of a few percent on the speed you're actually doing.
Myself I've had one car (Renault 19) with a 9% error factor, and my current (S40 T4) is quite good with only 3-4%. You can measure this yourself out on roads with kilometer marks and a stop watch.
I love the Gamecube. It has _fun_ games that focus on playability more than cool graphics or "cool looking characters" or something teenagers like to talk about.
Metroid Prime. Zelda : Wind Waker. Resident Evil:remake and Zero.
You're really missing out on something if you're not playing those games.
Most cars are off by 5-10% when showing your actual speed. 100 on your meter is probably 92 in reality. Some of us know by how much they're off and drive at the _real_ speed limit - and thus faster than most.
"You're using Outlook? That's really bad.. easy to catch viruses. You really should have a look at Opera - it's both an excellent Email-client and a very good webbrowser - better than IE for a lot of things actually"
OpenOffice v1.1 can export to PDF - most people can read that. Alternatively, they can always rename the files to.zip, open them and read the text in their favourite notepad..;)
Of course a lot of people are anti-American - you're causing it all by yourselves. Stop acting like idiots when you deal with other countries and we might start to respect you.
What's the problem? We don't need to produce more children when there already are crowded areas on the Earth. Let them move and work here - that works out just as fine as we producing more children of our own.
Stop looking at individual countries - view the Earth as one big country if you like. That solves a lot of issues people seem to think exists.
Oh even with the EUCD in place we have a lot more freedom (and better democrazy) in most of Europe than in the states. It's amazing how many americans don't realise that just because _you_ have a constitution and a bill of rights doesn't mean that no one else has equivalents - or that they might be implemented better for the citizens..
(I mean, most of what you have is based on what France had/has.. )
Oh there is coverage (Sweden).. it's along the lines of: "There will be a new law that will make it illegal to decrypt satellite/cable TV you're not subscribing to" and such examples. Joe Public just goes "uh hum.. yeah.. well.. I guess that's good.. I will still keep on doing it".
No one is bringing up the _bad_ examples of what this law can do to you. The law hasn't been enacted in Sweden yet, but when it is I'll probably have to stop helping out in hacking the Xbox in various ways myself.
One note though: Some techies seem to think the Swedish version of this law could be quite lenient.. it depends on if the courts read the exemptions as we do or not. I'm being negative about it, some are being positive.
The US imports more than it exports. Sanctions will cause your country to grind to a halt. It's fascinating to see US citizens actually believing their country is needed for the world to function.
That's what MIDP is used for in phones .. I haven't seen many applications that are NOT games - and MIDP2 is a lot better for games than MIDP1 was/is.
Yeah - I'm currently working in this very area and got extremely confused by the article writeup :)
No, we should withdraw all the A-class networks that are unnecessarily allocated to US companies.
OTH - I'd rather move to IPv6.
This is a very bad thing. Kids _should_ be able to "sneak out" - it's part of growing up.
Overprotective parenting is extremely dangerous for a healthy upbringing.

However, it works just fine as an actual WAP.

I'm not wasting any money - I'm having a very good time with my cube and the games I've bought for it. I _had_ an Xbox. Enough said.
There's nothing to disagree with - what I wrote is fact. You're welcome to check it any day you like.
I bothered to Google a bit though:

Troll. Whole post. Funny one though. Kirby's Air ride a fast action game ... :)
When you move at exactly speed limit (100 kmph)

FWIW
Please link me to where people have attached "fully capable HD's" to Gamecubes.
"You're using Outlook? That's really bad .. easy to catch viruses. You really should have a look at Opera - it's both an excellent Email-client and a very good webbrowser - better than IE for a lot of things actually"
It works - really. (For home-users)

The OpenOffice fileformat
I just searched for "googlewash" using Google. I got no hits on TheRegister - only a bunch of blogs. Searching News didn't help either.
I do the same, and it's rare to get spam to those adresses. Most spam I get are to my _actual_ Email-adress which has me a bit confused.
Many thanks for that information. Where would you suggest I direct people wanting to know more?
I'm debating this in several public places as well as trying to pursuade politicians - your info could help out immensely.

All the lies the US told us about Iraq
The US claims they own space
USA putting racism in the law

You're seing a lot of "America vs Europe" because the US recently pissed the whole world off.
Europeans seem to think democracy consists of something else besides bombing the crap out of everyone you don't like.
and we give out billions of dollars each year to other countries for free.
..
Say what? Of all the developed countries you give out the _least_ amount of money compared to the BNP

Uhm. Go hack the Gamecube. Xbox was easy.
