    No, they're burning plastic in Siberia. That's what he's vaguely alluding to. That's what is going to be discovered to be the primary cause of airborne plastic particles, some years from now after it's already too late to save the liver of everything left alive on the planet still that doesn't photosynthesize.

    They're just not very well informed on stuff that doesn't involve destroying society so they can attain their glorious religious apocalypse while getting rich in the process. Someone over there must have just finally figured out that the decades-long stifling of rural broadband roll-outs negatively impacts their own voting base dramatically more than it does the Democrats.

    Either that or they have known all along and they just now noticed that the voting base finally got a clue about it.

    It still needs to communicate with their servers just to work. So somewhere, some Amazon employee with system administrator access is always going to have the ability to access this info, even if they're forbidden from doing so by the terms of their employment.

    I knew this was happening. Everyone I've warned about though, just plays it down. They like to believe that the chances of being listened to are very slim. They like to believe the privacy controls are sufficient and reliable.

    Either that or that it is susceptible to external control.

    This is a weird thing to me, because at first actually it seemed like it was much ado about nothing, which was actually more suspicious than this highly predictable revelation. However, I still don't know if there's any way to tell who is backdooring these devices, only that it is now clear Huawei can't protect their supply chain any better than anyone else.
