I purchased a cheap 10" Epad awhile back for $150 and was sorely disappointed with its performance, and lack of features. CGI might look nice at first but it just can't replace that interaction actors have with a model. In many cases, I'd rather watch an old budget scifi film done with a real model set, vs a new CGI movie like Avatar. When you rewatch these old films you discover new things you didn't notice before. Plus with CGI you miss out on all the bloopers that were fun to spot.
