Since AI could soon outpace many human lawyers...we'd need "Judge" alg to combat these AI and then probably some more Jury AIs with random seeds as well?
The SSO/YOLO will be here, we're lazy humans. So I need:
First level with a day use password, easy to "read", some "write" ability.
Second level an "elevated" privileges of the account etc. must have high barrier of entry, different password, call-me-in-person back to verify (not automated though like 2-step verification), single use codes etc. Some execute this when logging from a new device. That's good but not enough.
E.g. I want to check my bank account - "daily use". I want to conduct transfers or change password - "elevated" and hence much tougher authentication.
This way if my first SSO/YOLO gets broken in I could wipe out all the other password accounts in one step with my "elevated" and unbroken password that is not a YOLO. Yes this may not be convenient to execute but hopefully it does not happen very often?
On the other hand 2 step verification every time I use something is too annoying...
What did they use to develop the software? And even more interesting how did they test it? The must have had some simulators, probably both software and hardware based?
I cant wait for all Windows programs will stop existing and instead go minimize or "better" yet assume 'OK' on any dialog: "format drinve C: Ok Cancel?"
It is probably legal to call oneself whatever, performing services of a lawyer is not. Alas, the law probably can be contested here as Ross is not a human and the law likely did not foresee this.
Assuming the propulsion laser is in solar system, the "sail" being a mirror that gets "modulated" and hence reflect back the laser light transmitting the information?
With LED lighting it could be more possible. However, a microwave, hair dryer or iron would draw a ~20A current (~1kW power). And this requires a thick wires. Gone are electric heaters, ovens and AC etc. Smallest household hookup is 2x100A @ 110V about 15kW peak power which equivalent 48V DC would require >300A, gauge 0000, 0.46" wire in diameter.
In the past.NET was a way to lure dev to Windows and to anchor them there.
What is their incentive today for 1) open sourcing.net 2) supporting and now purchase of Xamarin?
If xam/mono gets MSed than it seems even less safe to use.net as they may pull the plug on Mono anytime. Is it a ploy to sell more VisualStudios? And then WinOS for devs? Can't see a big money in this for MS...
Ok, fine. You score but only a little... For search I google. That's their core business. It's the best (but so was picasa). It has a good chance to stick around, no? If it dies, google dies. I am safe here. Gmail, yes nice but what's their value in there? It's been around but that' not guarantee. Perhaps that's just part of google's ecosystem so they would keep it. Picasa web has a "replacement" (pictures) in their eyes, not for most of the picasa users as if there was value for them in pictures, they would have moved to pictures w/o kick in the butt. Can't see it being as useful compared to picasa desktop as I'd like to process my pics localy w/o wait to upload and clunky web interface. Really missing iGoogle (using protopage.com but it's barely usable).
Google is pushing for "cloud" apps as a strategy to kill desktop. So this move is consistent.
Likely most of slahdot geeky population is just out-layers for google?
OK that's it. I am done with google products. Picasa was an independent company (Lifescape) and google did "microsoft" on it (EEE). Thank you ScreewGoogle!
The $45 and later $50 was an early kickstarter deal. It's $65 now (or $500 for 10). 1GB ram and 16GB flash makes it a non-windows worthy at the moment (don't even bring up the Win10 IoT gimmick).
The 4 core Atom is a good CPU with a decent GPU (for a small SoC). But how does this board's TDP compare to Pi or BBB?

I know...I could not help myself.
It would be easier for me (a human) to remember and/or generate passwords if the rules where consistent across all web sites.

So Windows got linux/ubuntu emulator?
Should we call it "Uine" or better yet "Line"?
"Line" is not an emulator?

no it's not

>> "Tesla requires drivers to remain engaged and aware when Autosteer is enabled. Drivers must keep their hands on the steering wheel.",
How do you stay "engaged" when the car is doing all the driving?
There were accidents where commercial pilots become "disengaged" while plains where auto-piloted.
Complete boredom would put anybody to sleep.
The bottom of open365.io page has:

What is the license than?
One can possibly fit many (infinite) mathematical models here, no? So I am dubious if this ever gets resolved.
I suppose by "ground" they meant "stationary" as in "not on the spacecraft"...

Why would they cut out internet and ability to upgrade later?
How about your PC gets disconnected from internet unless you upgrade to Win10?

and let's not forget about these criminals turning down TV volume during commercials!
here is a good discussion:

Interesting but not inexpensive @ $3500 (Formlabs).
1us = 1000ns = 100000 ps hence 500ps=0.5ns=0.0005us=0.0000000005s=5e-10s
but yes, not a tiny error given expected GPS accuracy.
pulse-per-second signal derived from GPS should be accurate to tens of ns...
