  1. Re:Why? on Family Dog Cloned, Thanks To Dolly Patents · · Score: 0

A race horse or some prized show animal I could maybe understand. But what's the point of cloning a companion animal?

There are more people that own and are compassionate towards their dog they've had for 10 years...lives in your home, maybe even sleeps at the foot of your bed.

ex. The dog I've had all through childhood is nearing her last year and a half or so, shes almost deaf and her vision is going - still happy ever. Now, if I wanted to you know...clone my beloved dog, it's just a fiscal barrier away.

They are tapping into a market with guaranteed buyers, much larger I would think then horses which are larger and probably more difficult to breed properly. A slow dog isn't really considered a waste of money.

Absolutely! How easy is it for children to pick up something that they don't have to do 'heavy thinking' about? Basic computer knowledge can go a long way, and facilitates those who are technically inclined. Allow students to advance their CS knowledge if they are interested, and teach everyone else how to use a computer! Plugging in peripphials, playing with wireless routers, how to properly plug computers in if they ever buy a new one, installing a basic operating system.. linux is perfect

Book 10-12 didn't catch my attention half as much as the first few did. Jordan realized that he had 'golden keystrokes' and just padded the series.. hope this idea turns out better than the computer game.
