that the laws of our country create an environment such that being an independent entrepreneur or even trying to innovate becomes a task in federal paper work and bills. As far as I can tell, hes not even trying to manufacture to sell, but has already run afoul of red tape and bureaucratic question marks. Good to see government working for us, again./sarcasm
Funny that this got modded up. Lets not forget that Obama made it a point to have the debt raised to a limit so that he could get past his own election.
The people in both parties should clearly not be trusted with any amount of money, seeing how recklessly they spend it. Why anyone would actually think it's a good idea to give these guys more money to through down the drain instead of cutting back what they already take in makes no sense to me what so ever.
As someone that has been doing this job for ~12 years, I can say with a high confidence that even if you are able to figure out what you need to do, be prepared for long days and LOTS of after-hours and weekend work. During the day, its going to be 30% research, 30% putting out fires and 40% dealing with users and developers. After hours, if your not working, you should be doing more research. You can adjust the percentages depending on the level of the staff and the quality of the network and systems your going to be supporting.
BUT, and this is a big but, if your even able to figure out what you need to do. This job is not just about the network, but the systems that are connected to it and how making any kind of change effects all of it. You will soon find that simply pressing 'enter' or clicking 'OK' can make your butt hole pucker because if it breaks something then your going to spend the next 24 hours trying to fix a problem caused by that action that "should not have happened."
Since when was taxation supposed to help keep the rich from getting richer and the poor from getting poorer? I thought self motivation and personal responsibility was supposed to do that?
Certainty taxes pave roads and all that good stuff, but lets be honest. If I was rich, I would probably be doing my best to hide as much of my money as I can as well. When you figure a lot of these people worked pretty hard to make that money, I'm sure its not a very enjoyable thing to sit back and watch the government take a huge chunk of it only to prop up the other 40% of the population that does not put in their fair share. Assuming you live in the U.S., that is.
Considering the state of American weight and energy problems, we could line all the side walks with these plates and force everyone to walk killing two birds with one stone.
... However, the RSS reader would be nice. I would perfer to se all the news I read in thunderbird right there on my TiVo. Maybe an email reader would be nice too?
This makes me think there is some DRM used somewhere in this system. I am sure they would not be doing this without some kind of copy management in there.
Great. Show me where Cody Wilson's project infringed someones rights.

true = (false == false);
Apparently two wrongs do make a right.

Industry, meet clue.
I hope they can do it.
Best of all, it is a private company doing it. Not backed by government, maybe they will lead they way. Just as how true capitalism should work.
Other countries can turn our people away, but we can't seem to turn other counties people away.
Wow, an anti-Bush post moderated up to 5!
No liberal bias at Slashdot, move along, nothing to see here.
in helping out all those guys with another tiny problem.
Will Ad-Aware or SpyBot scans now have you uninstall BF2142 or at least notify you when its installed?
Yeah, what he said...
What do you expect to happen when you let liberals run the cities.

I have yet to see any change in IT reflected in my Salaries. :^/

;)
I guess I will find out when I get home.
Now, expect an instant change in how spammers handle bouncing email addresses.
Little do you know...
Muahahahaha
Well, I'm sure the democrats are going to be calling foul here at some point in time.
Lets see, what did Bush do to win the election this time?
*sigh*
There is a reason why democrats have lost the house, senate and white house again... and its because their ideals are not cutting it anymore.
Neither am I.
Fact of the matter is, 70% (my guess) of Kerry supporters only support him because they think he is better then Bush.
Of course, voting for someone else because you THINK they are better can NOT be a good thing.
Kerry says one thing, his 20 year senate record says another.
If you like big government, then fine, vote for Kerry
I been on a mission to convert people. Maybe this will help.
So IE is better at handling junk.
Nothing new here...
Funny. I worked with a History major from Yale that was a DBA at my current job. He moved on to do DBA work for another company this past year.
