I just ordered a 10lb package of Potassium Nitrate and 115' of fuse with no issues on eBay last month. Plenty of other chemicals easily available there, too.
I have more than a handful of older family members at the moment that are near or closing in on their passage to the 'other side', and if I should miss a call from a family member saying "So-and-so is in the hospital, you need to get here as fast as you can" you can bet your ass that not having that phone with me would cause me to be lacking in happiness for quite some time, missing the potential last few hours of a loved one's time on earth.
Not Sci-Fi but fantasy, I'd like to see the Drizzt saga from Forgotten Realms put on the big screen (In a way that doesn't suck, of course. I'd even be happy with an animated movie!)
Where are these highways with 70 or 75 MPH limits in the northeast? I just got dinged with three points on my license and a $150 fine for doing 61 in a 50. On a four-lane divided highway. Going with traffic.
