I look at the rich choices of phones on the Android side with envy. Every time I consider a nice reasonably priced Android device (looking at you, Honor 8) news like this pops up, and I clutch my iPhone.
Apple does not
1. Require manufacturers to pre-install any particular browser or search engine or require them to set a particular search engine as a default on their devices.
2. Prevent manufacturers from selling smart mobile devices running on competing operating systems.
3. Give financial incentives to manufacturers and mobile network operators on condition that they exclusively pre-install any particular search engine on their devices.
Oh boy, I bet Amazon's lawyers and insurance carriers are throwing a tantrum over this. Imagine all that space filled with down and out folks who are going to experience "falls" and other "incidents" due to Amazon's "failure to maintain a safe environment."
Seattle has a lot of personal injury lawyers who are going to enjoy a feeding frenzy.
What is it they say about "best of intentions"?
It had the famous membrane keyboard, which we upgraded with an after-market typewriter type keyboard. It used a cassette drive. We quickly tired of that and acquired two Indus GT double sided drives. Man, that was living!
Right out of the box TFA points out a "link," not a causation. So we are left to ponder whether video games help kids achieve in the classroom, or whether smart kids tend to like video games.
