    I'm amazed that they can apparently measure the speed of spacecraft that's millions of kilometers away, to a precision of 10e-4 m/s. How do they do this?
    They're very good at holding their breath while measuring.

    She only (barely) won because Republicans voted for her in an open primary. It was no accident that Karl Rove praised her as a formidable candidate; he knows the ONLY Democrat his coven can beat in the general election is Hillary (and Bill) Clinton. She is so universally reviled by the Right, even dead Republicans will ask for a day pass from hell to vote against her - regardless of who the GOP nominee is.

    A lot less oil would be used to create CDs and their plastic cases. How many tons of unsellable CD/DVDs do Wal-Mart/Target/Best Buy, et al have to dispose of every year? Plus, I'm not even sure if CD/DVD's can be made from recycled materials.

    KERMIt, a "Kit for External Repair of Module Impacts", is one of those simple systems being developed at Marshall Research to seal punctures in the ISS. It will enable crewmembers to seal punctures from outside damaged modules that have lost atmospheric pressure. Delivery of the kit is scheduled for next year. KERMIt is also useful for sealing leaking atmospheric seals as TFF article describes (more info here).
