There are plenty of scanners out there for $100 that will let you get all sorts of data off the bus.
I have one from obd2allinone.com. It hooks up to a PC, or pocket PC. You can get data off of all sorts of sensors, like O2 sensors, flow sensors, air sensors, and other things like rpm and the like.
There are still limitations though, which would be nice to see improved.
If we can get all the cars to use a common language, doing diagnostics could be made much easier.
OBD2 that all cars sold in North America currently have, can be useful, but is quite limited in what it can do.
That is not true.
Target agreed to a limited exclusivity agreement with Sony to carry only their BR player for a time. They still sell hd-dvd movies, as well as the HD-DVD addon for Xbox360.
Assuming the war is still ongoing after Christmas, they will start carrying hd-dvd drives too.
Could be a good idea, though something would have to be done to ensure traction was still good. Otherwise when it rains, motorcyclists like me would be crashing left and right.
Uh, my 4 year old P.O.S 27" tube TV, from Futureshops inhouse Prima brand, has component and composite inputs. My new 40" Samsung LCD has plenty of both
The OP is either trying to make Canada look behind in tech for some reason, or just is clueless to the world around him.
Riiight...
I've had the same XP install for 2 years now, and have upgraded the drivers dozens of times. First with my 9700 AIW, then X800 XL, now X1800 XL.
No issues at all removing old drivers, or installing new ones. Including the capture drivers for the 9700 all in wonder.
I do this at work quite frequently. When a user complains their keyboard is too dirty or has sticky keys, I through it in the dishwasher friday afternoon, no heat and no soap, and give it back to them Monday morning.
The firewire method is REALLY buggy within windows media center, and the main guy working on it hasn't been around in months, so that project is dead, at least for having it within media center.
You can manually record programs pretty reliably of over firewire I've found, but thats just in a standalone program with no guide, you just hit start and the length of time to record. It will record whatever channel the digital box is on.
It seems I can record my HD channels, including Discovery channel, which is nice, but for the hassle, I prefer to just record it on the analog tuners from within vista mce, in standard def.
Battlestar galactica, and motorcycle racing would both be worth it for me, but thankfully they are on analog channels so my tuners can grab them fine, for now.
If you're a fan of the show at all, you'll know they've been saying for along time the show would end when they'd told the story, and thate RDM did not want to make a show just for the sake of making the show.
I fully believe that this is a creative decision, the show's whole plot is them trying to reach earth. Once that happens, there is not much more to do (though don't give us BS like voyagers "look, it's earth", cut to credits..).
The show's ratings are very good, so advertising money is there. The show is very expensive to make with all the special effects, but it certainly isn't hurting for ratings (even if they have dropped from their peak, they are still one of the highest ranked on Scifi channel).
Air temperature yes, but surfaces could be quite warmer. If you ever watch racing you'll see they mention the air temp, and the track surface temp, which is always a good deal warmer.
So a concern could be if these guys are sitting in the sun for a long period of time, especially in an area with reflective surfaces bouncing more light onto them, like a downtown type area.
I agree that if everyone had guns, you probably would not see these multi-kill massacres much, however you probably would have many more smaller shootings. If everyone has guns, simple bar fights, road rage, annoying neighbours, and the like can all turn into deadly situations because someone gets stupid and pulls out their gun.
Ati fanboy? I'm no ATI fanboy, not by any stretch of the imagination. I have a mix of ATI and nvida hardware in my pc's. It's just simple fact that Nvidia had screwed their drivers for the Vista launch. The new 158 series are better, but still missing functionality.
I reread my post, I meant to say "as discussed in the article's feedback section", this is where the posters discussed the lack of ATI hardware.
True, it's not useless if all you are interested in is how Nvidia hardware works in Vista.
I guess it would just be better for them to advertise it as an article about Nvidia hardware on Vista/XP
As discussed in the actual article, this review is useless.
All it shows is that Nvidia systems perform much slower on Vista then XP. They then go on to conclude that Vista must be slower then XP.
It's quite well known Nvidia's drivers for Vista have been absolute trash, while ATI has been on the ball. While Vista will be slower for most games even with ATI hardware, the difference is far, far smaller.
Um, the wiimote does have gyro's in it. The sensor bar is only used when you need to point at something on screen. Sword fighting games will work very well with the wiimote.
As others said, Vista doesn't store files in it's own formats, it's applications do. The big one is Office2007 obviously. MS recently released a free update for office2003 to allow it to work with office2007 files.

I believe that would be one from the William Shatner school of grammar.
I don't believe you'd really be risking your data anyway, I think that once it runs out of writes, the data is still accessible to read. Am I wrong?

My wife and I (I'm 27, grew up on NES, Genesis, and PC games), love Rayman. Great fun, good replay value too.
I did too.

Ah, but did we see four of the final cylons? Thats what we're led to believe, but we don't know for sure.

I've been using craptacular for years, don't make be break out the DMCA!
WSUS combined with good AD group policy rules keeps my 60 or so clients happily updated, I rarely have to manually go download and install a patch.
once dx10 games come out yes, if ATI doesn't have their card out by then they will be disadvantaged, but until that time, DX10 cards are not needed.
