I don't know what champing is, but I agree with all of your points. We went to see a kids movie recently, and this very heavy person sat in front of us, who had the most outrageous body odor I have ever smelled. I felt like Agent Smith in The Matrix: "It's the smell, if there is such a thing. I feel saturated by it. I can taste your stink. And every time I do I feel I have somehow been infected by it. It's repulsive, isn't it? I must get out of here."
Damn it was terrible. It got in my nose and I could smell it when I got home still. When it comes to movies, I'm like I'm the most interesting man in the world. I don't often watch movies, but when I do, I prefer to do it at home.
Low voltage is not going to happen, if only because the costs for copper wire would be astronomical. If you take your standard 1500w electrical outlet, at 120v it only needs #14 gauge wire to run 54 feet @1800watts because it's only 15 amps. If you take that down to 24V, you need #2 gauge wire to run the same distance, and you are only getting 1200watts, at 50 amps!
#14 wire is about $0.17 per foot, where as #2 wire is (from what I could find) about $7.50 per foot.
The specific one I have came from a factory called CXM. But I think this market is changing really fast. A similar one to mine is this one here: http://www.banggood.com/Wh-TG-.... It has twice the battery capacity of mine which would be helpful. Mine has taken a serious beating and is still working good aside from the plastic shell which has a few cracks. Just cosmetic though. I let anyone try it so it gets crashed a lot.
There are other ones that have bluetooth connectivity to your smartphone so you can see capacity and stuff. The genuine solowheel ones are really nice but are so expensive and I've never tried one.
Been having fun with a solowheel clone you can get on bangood and aliexpress for about $400 that is just one wheel. Have taken it camping and ran it on gravel, packed dirt, grass etc and it does a pretty good job. Super fun at campsites particularly. Even last summer in BC I used it to haul stuff to and from the car to the beach. It's infinitely more useful than a Segway since it only weighs like 21 pounds. I used to ride it through downtown on my way to work but haven't felt like it lately since it attracts so much attention, where people stop you to ask all the questions like how fast does it go (12km/h), how far does it go (10km), how much did it cost etc.
Here's a video of when I first started learning it. I'm much more comfortable on it now, I can even pull my 2 kids in a wagon while riding it.

I never really understand the comments, particularly on a tech site like this, such as 'why don't you just walk you lazy'... For one thing walking isn't that great of exercise anyway if you are in any kind of shape (ie. not round). Secondly, this thing is twice as fast as walking and effectively doubles your range of parking options etc, and it's actually fun.
Sort of when you buy a red car and suddenly you notice how many red cars there are on the road, I married a woman who is 6'3 and I'm just shy of 6', you'd be surprised how many couples I notice where the woman is taller than the man.
The cause of the Toyota problem was people hitting the accelerator instead of the brake.

So if you take away the accelerator pedal I think we're good to go.
He's head of 3 technology companies that are currently in the news, so suprise, news articles about him and his companies are showing up on a technology news site. Get over it.
I remember in my grade 8 shop class, we were allowed to use a small forge to melt lead (that we could purchase for $10 for a block of it) to then make small army men. It was pretty cool, but I can't believe they let us play with molten lead and then lead toys!
Not entirely true, if you're creative enough. For example recently I bought my 5 year old a Mixel. It had these hook like things on it for horns that, as you suggest, I thought were specifically for that model. However to my surprise he remembered that the same pieces also came in a spider-man lego kit, ran up stairs and managed to find it within a minute (which is a feat in itself considering how much lego there is). So even the kits themselves are still a good creative toy, even when they eventually get mixed in with all the other lego.
My favorite is the MSDS for sand. Like at the park. Imagine this warning at the playground, haha!
Personal Protection: Safety glasses. Lab coat. Dust respirator. Be sure to use an approved/certified respirator or equivalent.
Gloves.
Personal Protection in Case of a Large Spill:
Splash goggles. Full suit. Dust respirator. Boots. Gloves. A self contained breathing apparatus should be used to avoid
inhalation of the product. Suggested protective clothing might not be sufficient; consult a specialist BEFORE handling this
product.
If a LIPO based car is a bomb on wheels with an energy density of 0.36[2]–0.875 MJ/kg, then what would you call a regular car when Gasoline has an energy density of 100 times that (~46 MJ/kg)?
Although, I guess you'd need to consider the speed at which that energy can be released, and I'm not sure how LIPOs compare on that front given that gasoline needs to be sufficiently mixed with oxygen.
Yeah it's not perfect, there are some things I find annoying. However for the most part, I like the adaptive difficulty. The most difficult part is in a song when it transitions from single notes to chords, often I have to pause to figure it out. It does help ease you into a song though generally, and is especially fun for beginners who have no previous experience. I bought a bass guitar as well and that is even more fun for beginners as it has only 4 strings.
Kinda neat, but I've been using Rocksmith 2014 now and it's really improved my playing and most importantly given me the drive to play more, and on the plus side you use a regular electric guitar that is a real instrument.
I'll be watching what this guy does in the future for sure. The aeropress is a great device that makes great coffee. I use it almost daily, and the 4 cup capacity is not a problem as if people are coming over I just make several batches and keep the espresso in the fridge. Even do that for camping trips, that way I don't have to pack the aeropress when camping, just bring the espresso.
It should be noted that the table landing video was a different model, it was a small quad copter and did not pose nearly the same risk as the one that killed him did.
You can't compare Google Cardboard with the Vive or Rift. They are vastly different experiences.
At the craps table, I only stand on my left foot, and I only talk in the third person, and I've won lots of money, so it should work for you too.

640k ought to be enough for anybody!

You know, it is possible to be in better shape at 34 than you were at 24...

I just demonstrated this to my 5 year old literally yesterday, and he's in kindergarten!

I did RTFA and he had some public domain paintings in the article. Can anyone identify this painting? http://www.rockpapershotgun.co...

I just use the McDonalds on the strip for free wifi. Was good enough to do face time.
