    So shift work/school schedules in Winter to make people start/end their days at different times; going to sleep at 22:00 instead of pretend-21:00 isn't going to kill you. This would also eliminate countless scheduling problems.
    Car analogy: Moving the road to get to work.

    So drop the damn 7-segment displays. Surely the US could owe just a tiny bit more and get a big monochrome display with pixels. Leading zeros? Hack them off and bump the font size.

    Problem is it's too complicated for american voters. Punching a hole in next to a name was too complicated. typing in a 2-4 digit code? are you MAD??

    Problem is, such people are allowed to vote. I realize that the right to vote is vital to a nations upkeep, but would you really trust that to people unable to remember and input four digits? I'm not suggesting we disenfranchise people we don't disagree with, just those who take voting lightly enough to 'oops' a candidate into office.

    If anything the mass amount of linux users shows just how crappy the proprietary options are, just look are some of the hoops that people have to jump through to use linux yet they contiue to use it...and WHY?

    I can't speak for everyone, but I started running Linux back in '99 because it was an entertaining waste of time to poke around, break stuff, find out what I did wrong, etc. I didn't consider myself to be jumping through hoops, but playing with a large pile of Lego/K'nex pieces. Perhaps it's curiosity, rather than disdain for the alternatives, that's driving Linux and other OSS projects.

    And print it in the first place, and help maintain its value; it's worthless paper and linen if no one believes in it. It's also quite nice to have bridges that don't collapse (or roads that exist, for that matter). Yeah, they're 'stealing' it, but it's a hell of a lot better than bartering.

    And? As long as it's the same for everyone else, what's the problem? I can't imagine there being a single adult on the planet who hasn't said and done dozens of embarrassing things. The sooner that's all out of the way, the sooner we can ditch the Morality Police and get back to things that actually matter.

    How is it your place to claim a massive tract of land and treat those born on it like property, setting down arbitrary rules and taxing them because they popped out of the wrong vagina? Countries exist for the good of their citizens; to maintain order and to promote the intellectual progress and well-being of those living there, not to provide cheap labor/praise for a select ruling class.
