    The only problem with this is that a few years later this database which would only ever have 1000 records and two users now has 50000 records and 15 users and you find you've painted yourself into a corner.

    I've seen people do the same thing over and over again.

    Access is Ok for writing a front end to a database or prototyping.

    My Cisco PIX firewall runs an Intel Pentium, I think porting PC games to it would be still be fairly tricky. Anyone want to lend a hand showing me how to overclock a serial port?

    It wasn't modded down, it started at -1, presumably due to bad karma earned in previous posts. Incidentally, when you talk about "The members of this site", there are around eight hundred thousand of them, if you can find a group of that size who all think the same way then I'm impressed.
