He did a great job when he was just ripping off Norse myth (and didn't even bother to change most of the names, Luke, Leia, Anakin, Skywalker, Tatooine... all right out of the original Norse), but when he had to actually make up his own content you got Midi-chlorians...

I think it greatly depends on how firmly they are "asked". I personally tend not to mind when people ask for lots of things so long as I'm not bound by law to provide it.
how much would it really take to add a phone to a 3DS? Surely it has more than enough processing power, the displays are crisp, it has touch screen already... only issue I could see would be adding an antenna.
course, if smokies had taken things like solar and wind seriously for the last 50 odd years instead of blowing it off saying "we have plenty of oil!" we would already have your bold, cheap, quick and well built solution on sale at Walmart for $99.95.
how many of us here have installed for friends or family because of features that likely appeal mostly or only to geeks? The vast majority of my extended family uses firefox right now because I put in on there and hid IE on them until they got used to it.
Market to the geeks, and the plebs will follow. If for nothing else than they don't want to seem out of the loop
Yes, windows kill more total numbers... but unless you have one whicked case of dumb bird syndrome, you are not going to wipe out every bird for miles in every direction with windows or cats.
The local impact of an oil spill is what makes it so bad. It isn't that it kills so many, it is that it kills so many in one spot. A colony of birds can recover after losing a handfull to windows over a migration, but when only a handfull of breading pairs are left after a spill it is far less likley that the colony will make it.
wake me up when consoles have the same control options as a PC. While an analog stick may be miles above a D-pad, it still has a long way to go before I will swap one in to replace a 7-button mouse + keyboard with a half dozen macroes.
so are you saying the guy who tries to do good without killing but fails (either at avoiding deaths or the sucess of X) is worse then the guy who tries to do bad with killing and gets it done?

Hell just look at what IBM is planning... over 75% of their workforce are basically losing all their benefits by being hired back on as private contractors. That means no health, no pention, no severance, even LESS security, same hours, same wage.
