Worse yet, the kid may want to name it some text-message garble like "ZOMGDIDUCMEP" or somesuch. Or, worse yet, the kid's a gamer and names it "noob" or "qq pvp server," or EVEN worse...
Now the question is where is it going? Relatively speaking, it's rather cramped in space around there, so we may have to see what Mars' does to its trajectory before we know where else it could go. Hopefully it'll hit something not-earth (or moon).
The problem with Ron Paul's campaigns is that it's so similar to Dean's in 2004 - a wide, broad, and shallow base. Most of the campaign workers for NH were from out-of-state - I read one column where the reporter couldn't find a single New Hampshire native in the room.
You missed a couple of points as well, something HIGHLY important to a lot of American suburban/rural owners. Horsepower, towing capability, and size. The size issue is being figured out with some of the hybrids, but a pure electric car is going to be only for travel purposes, NOT general-use. If you have a boat or a trailer, they're presently useless. If you get killed because you get run over by a truck, they're unsafe.
Unless they can record the impact and keep the signal going as long as possible. And of course, there's the deal when in 20 years NASA hears this "beep, beep" cause something's still working.
No thanks. I like my SKS, and my brother likes his AK47. And "CopKilla" bullets are a political invention. ANY bullet fired by a rifle (other than say, a.22) will pierce body armor. Put the onus of misuse of guns on the criminals, and keep your hands off of the guns of the law abiding - even if the purpose of the weapon is to kill.
Professional Athletes (and probably anyone who is dedicated to a sport) often experience the "game slowing down" in a similar measure, where they are at a physical level where they simply react faster and their perception is that everyone else is moving slower. It's biological. When you're tuned more to what you're doing, and you get better at it, you react faster and percieve what is going on better.
The waste argument doesn't work. France recycles something like 90%+ of its nuclear waste into something usable. Plus, if we put people to work on how to handle the waste, we'll figure something out.
Actually, there are problems there as well. Illinois in the Kennedy/Nixon race. LBJ in Texas. Louisiana in...well, pick a year. Gerrymandering/re-districting. Keeping the electoral college/getting rid of the electoral college. Nothing is, has been, or will be perfect with the vote...we just have to continue to hold people accountable and try and make it as publicly accessible while keeping the ballot secret. I'm pretty far-right, but I think at the LEAST there should be limited open-source scrutiny of any private contracting of voting, and it should probably be entirely run by the Federal or State Election commissions.
My brother and I are both smart in different ways. I'm more able to apply myself to jobs I don't enjoy doing, and accomplish them, but he's got more IQ and is better at what he enjoys. I did better in high school and college because of it (and I don't have his personal issues), but he's at his dream job and is very good at what he does. I still haven't quite figured it out yet.
Both of our parents pressed us to be smart and good at our studies when we were younger, read to us and with us early, and did their best to help us do what we wanted to do.
I christen thee "dorkface!"

Agreed here. If he disapproved of the newsletter, he should have stamped it out VERY quickly, and not let it linger as long as it did.

Ow...that post hurt my head. Someone left the door unlocked and a paleontologist got in!!??
Or, better yet, they find beer.

HAH! Got it in first.

Maybe if we all got together and BELIEVED hard enough, DNF would appear and we could play it. It exists, we just don't believe in it.
It also makes for an easy Christmas present. I didn't have to buy my brother and his wife anything for three years.

And the day before that, and the day before that...

Put gay porn on his desktop. Tell him it goes away when he does, and he can't trace it to you.

But the DON'T FALL DOWN.
Somehow, I pray this is relevant. If not, it's still true.
"Might??" Sheesh, you don't read enough sci-fi...the anomoly is when robots DON'T go berzerk. We ALL know it's a matter of when, not if.
AND who owns Blockbuster stock.

Great, now WoW has people goldfarming IRL for this thing.
