A few months ago I was also disgusted with my work, so much that I was looking at my code and it was like trash to me. Then I started a new project on micro-controller programming. Basically, 3 months ago I had no idea how to program a micro-controller, now I have this new skill and also refreshed my C programming skills which I have missed so much:) The projects you can do with micro-controller are very interesting (I'm doing robotics atm). Be done with all this.NET shit. Take pure programming in C, where a pointer can determine whether 5v will be sent to specific pins on the CPU. Oh the beauty!
Ofcourse, I'm not really done with the.NET shit but hey, I need to get paid:P
That's before even considering that thought of the extra time just being spent dealing with age related illness. Nobody is going to want to spend 70 years (half their life!) basically dying.
READ THE FUCKING SUMMARY:
That assumes that the life extension is all 'good years', and not a prolonged period of dementia and physical decline.
or LPL has existed in TinyOS for Wireless Sensor Networks for at least 4 years now. Check the BMAC and XMAC protocols for a start.
These protocols actually turn off the transmitter power and wake it up every t milliseconds to check for activity. When transmitter is turned off for 95% of a second, then you gain 95% battery life when idle:) Ofcourse, there might be other issues in cell networks... I wonder if this can make another paper actually!
I just hope someone thought to post the obligatory spaceballs quote somewhere in the thread...
Just look at the comments in this dupe story that got in the front page not long ago:

I remember Logo too...and it was BORING! Kids will not really get that much excited these days with moving some pixels around. They already play so many games with graphics and stuff.
The best dates were 9th and 10th August after 3am when there was no moon. I watched for a couple of hours and have seen around 10-20 Perseids. Two of them were very very bright and many also left a smoke trail:-) Not the "1/minute" rate but hey!
And I suppose you write your own compiler and assembler, then run it on silicon you fused yourself. And where'd you get those electrons from, hmmm? The *true* DIY'er would build his own bicycle generator and *pedal* power his server everyday! All while only eating organic vegetables he grew himself, using his own excrement as fertilizer!
I'm sorry but the *true* DIY'er would also have to build his own electrons from scratch!
And if THE GOVERNMENT could just have its secrets revealed, or if it was destroyed, then all would be right with the world and peace and justice would reign.
Um...that would be quite suspicious... I'm sure conspiracy theorists would argue with this.
jee/. you are acting like high school students that don't understand why they should hush. Every student thinks that a little quiet talk is not going to cause a problem, but if you are a lecturer you would understand that this coming out from 30+ students can cause a lot of noise!
The regulation is for everyone on the plane, not just for you.
This means loads of Matlab commands can be parallelized onto the GPU without having to re-code things in C++ or Fortran using CUDA
But you will have to re-code soon when a new version of Matlab is released and functions have changed over and over again! Yes, talking from personal experience...
I remember while growing up people were showing me pictures of hungry Somalian kids, telling me that kids in other countries are poor and should donate to them. Now let me think this through. Somalians are poor and hungry, but large amounts of "treasure" just outside their country cross every day. Hmmmm, I think I would do the fucking same thing if I was them.

Also, you must be new here.
But we walked to school in three foot snow, we did !!
yes yes and you liked it that way... and now i'm stepping off your lawn.
I remember Logo too...and it was BORING! Kids will not really get that much excited these days with moving some pixels around. They already play so many games with graphics and stuff.
Got a meeting with colleagues on the other side of the world? 4 a.m. means 4 a.m. for everyone.
YES but 4 a.m. in NYC means lunchtime. I say we move a step further and agree that all the world must have lunchtime at 13:00. UTC.
That's no equation...

I'm running on a micro-controller you insensitive clods!

Unless Google pulls a facebook on paypal.
Fuck. This sentence just facebooked my google.

weather its real or not.... its not only real but mentioned in weather modification and other paperwork from the US government.
I agree that whether modification its real weather people agree with it or not.
what, are you all sexually repressed teenagers or something?
Four words: /.
well seeing as we only just detected it 4 days ago it's not exactly like we did "track" it or "detect" it.
Your sentence is false by contradiction :-) Have a nice day!

I would totally name it the "iEye".

Does it make more sense in their society
Yes. I believe when a Japanese gets a hug from a robot it's not creepy because the Japanese use their imagination and they are also very open.
there isn't anything to get. It is a fun map. I found it fun..
Good idea, but I think if Google does it, the 10% will give me more money :-)
You know what would be cool? If Google actually produced real sandwich ice cream with the Android shape: http://static.guim.co.uk/sys-images/Guardian/Pix/pictures/2011/05/10/icecreamsandwich.jpg
Hey, you've heard it first time from me! Google I just want 10% on this.
I'm talking about the people who don't really get a chance to become good and productive citizens as you say.
