    From the little i know about jamming, there is something called frequency hopping to countermeasure this. It just makes things a little bit more complicated, but that's why it's called research. Also, lag and poor signal can be compensated with some autonomous movements maybe (or even something I can't think of now), again that's why it's called research.

    If the terrorists realize you are not scanning women, then they will recruit more women. Even if the can't recruit as many as you might think, it doesn't really take more than a few to do the damage they want.

    I understand what you say, but would like to add something here:

    Nature itself does not know the concept of a "concept". :)

    Or, nature itself DOES know the concept of a "concept", because nature includes us! We are creations of nature and not something separate.

    Are we sure that is a good thing? If there is a power problem, for example, couldn't that just cause a new short to happen somewhere more expensive to repair?

    That's nothing. Imagine when there is a power "problem" because humans tried to switch off the Terminator, and it just causes a new circuit to override the power "problem".

    Um, no it doesn't? It says half of those in some southern and western states. That's half of the 1/4 which is the 1/8th of some southern and western states.

    I was going to mod insightful but I want to add to that:
    Dear /. reader,
    Why do you have a plate on your car in the first place? It's an identification number... Yes, to identify you in case it's needed by the police or by anyone. Don't like it? Don't use a car then. What? Privacy? What do you mean exactly? Also, you expect the police to ask for public debate? Yes because the public knows better the job of the police than the police itself. Get over it. You live in a crowed city, and you should follow the rules of the system or get out.
