Won't this just leave me with a broken spirit gaming the system while working for a know-nothing boss who makes ridiculous requests and sets impossible deadlines in a dead-end job?
If you're not passing, you shouldn't be in the left lane, period. I don't care if you're doing 50 or 80 MPH, the left lane is for passing! It's people like you that fuck up good traffic flow.
No kidding. If a girl doesn't want to have sex, she shouldn't have sex. If a guy forces himself on her, that's rape. If she does it even though she doesn't want to, she's weak willed and the guy might be an asshole, but that does not constitute a crime.
This is not hacking any more than someone walking up to you on the street, asking you for your keys, then taking your car for a joyride is theft. Sure, you may not want the person driving your car, but then, why did you give them your keys? It's the same concept here, your public information is just that and anything else, you need to give the person permission to see. If said person ends up being a government agent and you get nailed, maybe you should have taken the friend request under more careful consideration.
Or, for those of us who've run out of tinfoil, maybe it just happens that they haven't hammered out the details. That seems far less likely than the marketspeak angle though, huh?
The machine I'm currently on is a single core machine running XP (1.6 GHz if I'm not mistaken...so lazy I don't even want to pull up the specs!). I've been using Chrome for months on this thing and it's lightning fast. Your concern over speed is unfounded.
Come on people, who can feel true emotional backlash from "killing" something that isn't even alive?
I'm a fairly hardcore gamer and I can say that I've almost never felt any remorse for any of the brutal things I've done in video games. Is this because I'm a psychopath? Of course not, I just have a tough time empathizing with a bunch of zeros and ones. That's what it all comes down to, these "people" will never come close to being real because they cease to exist when I turn the power off.
The only time I've ever felt empathy for a character is when the developers have done a particularly good job characterizing them and when this does happen, it's exactly as if I were empathizing with a movie or TV character. Games are just for amusement, they aren't reality simulators. Everyone needs to get a little perspective and realize this fact.
Now we can train nano-sharks with fricken' laser beams attached to their heads to recognize the birth taking place and inject them into people's blood stream to immunize them against HIV!
Don't think so many have gone belly up? Check this site out, and look at the number of games that were cancelled either pre-beta or during beta, or after launch. It's a lot. BetaWatcher I suspect the percentage would be close to 100% if you include all three of those;)

I can't imagine anything more casual than what you describe...
Oh come on, MTV and VH1 haven't been about music in at least a decade...
More to the point, how many 11 year olds know who Right Said Fred is?

*eats sandwhich* Oh no! I'm ruined!

But that's hard! I should be able to let the TV and video games raise my kids and use the courts to fill the gaps with ridiculous litigation!

I thought sysadmins were forged from the fires of Mount Doom?

^ Chuck Norris must have gotten to him
Sadly, he's been diagnosed with acute Mondays. It's terminal...
You either need to divide by zero or dereference a null pointer inside it.
No pun intended? Really? Its like saying, "with all due respect". You can say it, but I see right through your little farce!
You know times are bad when hackers can't even afford all the zeros they need and need to buy defective ones...

I'd rather he took the time to go through his pre-flight checklist!

Wow, you need to turn the angry feminist dial down a few notches. Its called a sense of humor, get one.
Uhhh....what's the definition of a robotic part? You can't just define a word with itself!

We need a +1 Zing! mod.
Why, exactly is the parent flamebait?
