If you really want motivation to switch to grass-fed beef, do a little research into commercial meat farming. It's terrifying.

I'm willing to bet that most people would give up meat altogether if they ever saw the truth of its origins, let alone had to do the work themselves. It's utterly pathetic just how far removed people are from the process of their own food. They don't think of beef as "cow" or pork as "pig"... they're products, not animals. Of course, that's only a problem for people that go to the grocery store. I'm willing to bet that more people than not can't even do that much, and instead waste tons of money (as well as health and happiness) eating out all of the time.

It's been a well known fact for a very long time at that. These animals are routinely pumped full of growth hormones and antibacterials. Not only are the effects questionable for those that consume the flesh and meat of these chemical cocktails, but then you have the aforementioned problem of growing superbugs.

Makes me glad that I'm a vegetarian and that my idea of a proper meal isn't just a slab of Dr. Frankenstein styled protein.

The reality is that wargames depict a historical context and history doesn't change to suit the likes of one group or another. There is only one history, the events that took place.

That's not true at all. If it were, American's would be too ashamed of what they did to the continent's indigenous people to care about whether or not the Taliban are in a videogame. History doesn't write itself. It is subtly and not-so-subtly manipulated time and time again to please various groups along the way. Think back to your mandatory high-school education... remember all of the lies they fed you under the guise of "history class"?

As far as I know, the only decent films Peter Jackson has ever done were Dead Alive and The Frighteners.

There are plenty of people out there that do go to college and still fail. In fact, the majority of people will fail regardless of what they do. The system is set up that way. College is little more than a bullet point on your resume. That little piece of paper that you get from school lets employers know that you have received the proper amount of social conditioning. Thus, they are more at ease with you. That's the benefit.

I also own a Nook. I've been very happy with it, but I've always been a heavy reader. That said, I do believe that ebook prices are outrageous. I don't think anyone would really argue that they aren't. The publishers need to wake up, lest they find themselves in the same boat that the music industry did when Napster blew up.

I have a traditional high school diploma because of this, thus negating the need for a GED as many traditionally home-schooled students would have.

You can rest assured that I'm no dropout, even if I did leave the school system two years early. Do people actually work at car washes? It seems that they're all either automated or require that you step out and wash your own car. Those automated ones never work very well for the price.

Often times schools will simply have a running tad, controlled via an identifying number. It can be paid off as the semester goes, or filled with credits ahead of time. I seriously doubt that most schools offer much variety in food, so tracking what they're eating isn't going to varying much from student to student. About the only thing it'll show is who does or doesn't bring their lunch from home.
