  1. in the end on Musicians Demand the Internet Stay Neutral · · Score: 1

I have to say, in the end can we really win this one any other way then with our pocket books? I mean if given the choice between a ISP that is net neutral, wont report me to the RIAA and is mostly stable. And you know everyone else, wont we all goto the good one, and thus net neutrality will become a thing of the past?

Why on earth would you want a comerical space port?! 1. Sattlie placement, there are tones of business that would love to have a cheeper way to get their junk in orbit. I know I would 2. Space tourism, when it gets cheeper is something alot of people are going to want to do. I know I would. 3. Its the start of bringing space to the people, to allowing the common man to leave the planet, which considering how bad we have messed up the planet we need to be thinking about doing...alot.

here is a question, what creditationals do you need to report someones death? or how about reporting the plot line of a TV show? I mean do I need the nod of the TV geek from beat the geeks or something? I dont mean to poke fun at the issue here but lets be honest, if I wanna say that the number of bears is on the rise in the wild I can convince someone with the cred I need to do it for me... The power or Wiki is that anyone can edit, so anyone can fix the mistake.

heh, should paypal be even more concerned with doing what they say they do and just let stupid users be dupped? I mean if I fall for a scam in the non internet world I'm left holding the bag, If I buy something from the back of a truck from a guy claiming to be a "sony delievery guy" who missed his delievery and needs to get rid of these before he gets back to the shop and they dont work, then its my own damn fault. Paypal is pissing in Darwins pool, I say they should just leave it alone.

Take it from me, women dont like scientific geek gifts: When I was in university I had access to the high pressure systems in the physics and chem labs, so I made her a dimond out of some carbon I...ummm...had lying around...yeah...anyway. She was definaly not impressed. I then, with a different girl used the same labs to make a string of jewels of various styles and make a necklace. Also not impressed. the moral of the story, physics geeks dont get the girl...those with IT skills however...lets just say I've gotten the girl because I could fix her laptop.

  14. hobbyist vs journalist on Blogger Vs. Journalist — Access Denied · · Score: 1

I think its simular to the difference between going to the smart guy in your family for tech support and going to a professional. the smart guy might get lucky or get it right and be able to solve 1 or 2 problems the professional will solve the problem or have access to the gear to solve it. a blogger might get a good story now and then but at the end of the day he is a hobbyist not a journalist. IF he wants to be taken seriously as a journalist who happens to work for a blog that he owns then they need a journalism degree, pure and simple.

A company CAN buy cool, but not like this. You buy cool buy hireing really cool inventave people, stick them into a room, slide pizzas under the door until they come up with something that is new and people will like. You then start small and build it up. the problem is companies forget two words from that business plan new and like. Either they remarket something existing and try to make it something we will like (ipod) or they take something new and make it a piece of junk (furby) the companies that are cool are the ones that create things like youtube.
